I am in the memory foam corner! Tempur, magniflex and silent night do some! I recently saw on Groupon offers on memory foam so maybe check that too!

I love Tempur, but they're not eveyone's cup of tea and a v expensive mistake to make if you don't like them.

Have to say that my DS has a Ikea mattress and it is by far the most comfortable bed ever so much so that i actually went out and got one, i love it. You will have to check sizes though as im not sure if they fit other makes of bed frames but i always have a fab nights sleep so does my DS. Good luck. Ikea has a wide variety of mattresses. You just need to choose the right one for yourself. We have a thick latex one and its very comfortable. Its already 5 years old now and still the most comfortable mattress weve had. My boys also have latex matresses but they also have a matress topper (from Ikea too) on top of the mattress for extra cushion as they like it extra soft.

I got a silentnight with latex top in UK super comfy but I find it's a bit too hot not sure I'd cope with it here. Have an Ikea one here and have had them before always good.

We got a silent night pocket spring with latex from debenhams. It is very comfortable. We got a sleep fine before, total rubbish. I used to wake up with terrible back ache. The silent night was 4400 dhs for 180x200 . Not cheap but so worth it .DD got a mattress from intercoil and she is also very happy.

There are many different mattresses in Ikea, we had one which was quite bad and gave both my husband and I back pains. We recently got rid of it (after less than 2 years) and got one from Debenhams, the latex one. So far it's been very comfortable and we're very happy with it. I also heard the silent night ones are good

I have to agree with egg - my Ikea mattress was the most comfortable one I have ever slept on, and guests often said they had had a super night's sleep. Would definitely get one again.

thanks egg - though I'd been told to avoid them like the plague due to them being uncomfortable lol
