natasha, thanks to 'kind' employers out there we have a gazillion biatch-maids wondering Dubai in search of greener pastures. Just hand her in to immigration and tell them she worked part time without permission and then have her put in a holding cell until you arrange her cancellation and BAN. I would go the whole way with this one. Imagine, you want to let her go and find another 'natasha'.....not kind.

make her spring clean everything! the kitchen cabinet, the linen cupboard. if you have kids, get her to sort their toys out. make clean EVERYTHING! then fire her!! AMEN, SISTA!!! Include all the lighting fixtures, under the fridge, washing machine, all the bathroom walls, refold all the clothes in the wardrobes, I could go on and on!! do you not make your maid do this daily anyway? you lot are such a soft touch! ;)

sorry, i also mean to add, from memory what my friend experience, she did get her deposit back. just don't let her runaaway, my another gf maid ran and the police said, until they get caught and all, then she'd get her deposit back. in the meantime, if i am in your position, i just pack her stuff and send off to the airport now. give her as good as it gets!

Hi Guinness - thanks for reply. I already had a long chat with her last night and explained that she may ask for things but if I say no then she needs to respect it. I explained if she wants more money then that will come in time as she earns it and explained she should be grateful to have a job, with not much responsability (no kids etc) and she is treated with respect..... She seemed totally indifferent and not apologetic or humbled at all! She said herself 'maybe I'll find someone else'. Hence why I feel I cannot cave and allow her to work elsewhere apart from inside my home so I have no choice really but to cancel her VISA and tell her to go see if the grass is greener elsewhere! Very annoying situation but she definitely fooled me by showing herself as a very quiet, innocent, grateful, appeciated, respectful person when in actual fact she is greedy and very calculating.

Before you cancel her visa, you should try having what I call the "come to jesus" talk. Embrace your inner b*tch and tell her in no uncertain terms that you aren't happy. Let her know what you expect from her, tell her all the things you just wrote here, and what exactly will happen if you hear any more of her whinging. Remember, she is an employee, just like any employee. And you wouldn't constantly complain to the boss if you were employed somewhere. Neither should she.
