ill be leaving for 4-5 days end of this month and need Rudy the cat to be left in a kennel.
can you ladies advise on which kennels to contact. which are the best and offer value for money.

i would also be interested in an option of leaving kitty with feline friends if that is an option indeed

SueB I was thinking the same thing myself....I think the prices seem fine for the extra luxury that our pets will be getting.

My dog stays at DKC when we're away and i can not recommend it enough. I was very nervous about putting him into kennels and he came back yesterday a very happy chap- in fact i think he's a little bored with me already ha :)

jam, I just checked their site and it is 70dhm/day for cats. It doesnt say junior etc but it does for dogs. Dogs start at 115/day. Looks like a pretty pampered pet facility lol....But for a short term stay I would think it would be fine. However, for only 4-5 days it would be better for kitty to stay in his own home if possible and have someone come every day for feeding/water/litter scoop and play :). He will be fine for thatamount of time.

I think 70 dhs is the average price for a cat, I paid that for my cat at Pet Palace before (they took my cat at short notice). I have since heard about a new pet style hotel opening soon. I am a fan of their facebook page and they also have a website, www.urbantailsdubai.com (cute name) I am not sure if they will be open in time for you Magyera as it say opening Feb on the website. I've just had a look at their website which must be a New Year wind up lol!!!! 100dhs for a junior suite per day 500 dhs for a deluxe suite per day I'll book mine in for a week, then it'll be the local bin for the following week!!!!!!!!!!!!

Magyera try Churchwoods Cat Hotel in Al Barsha. I,ve used this cattery for the past 6 years and it's fab. If you do a search it always has excellent reviews and many posters will agree. www.churchwoodscathotel.com [email protected] 04 341 5201 The ladies name is Fiona whichever you decide go and look at them all beforehand as some of them are pretty dismal! edited by jam43 on 04/01/2011

Have a look at the website, www.homelypetz.com I think it's about 75 Dhs per day. But you get the added bonus of having someone make sure your home is secure whilst you're away.

Not used them, I used to use DKC (Dubai Kennels and Cattery - very good. Have you thought about the option of having your cat looked after in your own home? HomelyPetz do pet sitting services and will come to your home and look after the animal there, less stress for the animal.

ok, I just called pet palace to ask for some info. they charge 70 AED per day which covers food, litter, toys, play time every 2 hours. since im a new kitty mom who hasnt left the kiddo in a kennel before, are you able to advise please if pet palace is a good place and if the 70 AED reasonable or I'm being way over charged. tx
