If its occuring bottom middle of t-shirts only its due to you catching either your jeans zips or trousers zip on the cotton material and slightly tearing. This tearing is made worse each time its washed or irons, so tiny tears end up quite big eventually. I have only noticed this with soft cotton tops! If your holes are elsewhere sorry I dont know what it could be!!

Ladies..get some cheese and put very small pieces inside your cupboard. the cheesecloth beetle is so named as it is the only insect that actually eats dairy products (as well as cotton!). they should eat the cheese and not the cotton on your t-shirts. Freckles 1, I thought you were having a laugh! Are you serious? Won't cheese stink?????????? SH No..the beetles will eat the cheese and not your clothes. I have the same problem and just googled cheese beetles. It mentions cheese mites which like old cheese and tobacco amongst other things :\: Cheese mite sounds similar to what I had on my toast this morning

Don't tell me they are just on the bottom front of your cotton tee shirts? YES!!! I took part in the earlier discussion where an answer was never revealed. Since I have noticed these holes I have moved house twice (thought it could be snagging on joints in kitcehn worktops) and used 3 different washing machines - two top-loaders, 1 front-loader. I did also wonder if it could be my belt buckle. I'm so fed up with these holes as I have had so many t-shirts ruined. That is quite true - it does tend to be in t-shirts and lovely cotton tops. The cheap ones and the more expensive ones. Blinkin greedy buggers! SH

Put it down to a pesky teeny weeny insect but I have several lavender moth clothes hangers in all of the wardrobes which should eliminate that so now that you've mentioned it, perhaps that is the answer, makes sense really. I have exactly the same problem. Little holes on the bottom front of tee shirts. I put it down to the drum in my washing machine and suspected it had a sharp edge somewhere!

It probably is the water. I have ripped so many of my clothes since arriving to Dubai, both little holes when they come out of the wash and with normal wear. Back home I don't think I ever ripped one piece of garment unless I had taken a fall as a kid or it got caught on a nail or something!

It will be the water....clothes don't last long here as the water is hard and rips the clothes to shreds. Alternatively it could be a cheesecloth beatle. If you have one of those you need to place small pieces of cheese inside your cupboards to entice the little beggars out.
