Hi

I arrived in Dubai last Friday, it was all a bit of a rush, my husband’s company issued tickets and we then had to be at Heathrow within 6hrs, myself and 2 children.

I have left a small package at my parents it weighs approx 5kg, can anyone recommend an inexpensive way of getting it over, my husband’s company have given me a price of nearly £90.00

Hope someone on here can help
Dawn

Get a shop n ship account with aramex costs a fee to set up then they give u a uk china and American address so send it to that address and they ship it over straight to your front door within a few days. 5 kg will cost 329 Dhs . Have a look online.

Unless it's absolutely necessary that you have this now, and especially of the contents are valuable to you, I would personally wait till someone is coming to visit you. We had several parcels never arrive from the UK, despite our postbox being in our building, and one Christmas present that ended up back at home six months after it was posted, with a Dubai label saying 'never collected' - despite the fact we'd never been notified a parcel was waiting for us at some depot.

Just tried a company called parcels to go in the UK and they say they will not deliver to a PO box address!! Last year we sent our paperwork through parcel-to-go to DH's work PO Box address with no problems, unless their policy has changed...

it costs a bomb, even by Royal Mail and will take weeks (2-3 days to get to Dubai from the UK and then the rest doing whatever the Dubai Posties do!). I had to have a <500g package sent over and it cost £16.

Thanks for your reply, I had thought of Royal Mail but I will have to send in 3 seperate packages, unless it is printed papers each parcel needs to be less that 2kg. Thanks Dawn
