They will turn up - guaranteed! DONT WORRY. It is good they will send you sms once driver on the way and it will tell you type of car and driver's mobile. It will be fine. You can also request a car seat or booster seat in the comments to driver section on the app.

Thank you all for the response. I have registered with Careem and have downloaded the App but just would like to know if they would definitely turn up, even at 5pm and on a Thursday (as your regular RTA taxis wont!).

Another big thumbs up for Careem - use them regularly. NEVER let us down. Always on time nice clean cars and drvier and well worth the money

Same here , have never used Uber so can't say anything for them. Using Careem every time I need a taxi now as you can track where the chauffeur is and they're always reliable/on time.

I use Careem all the time. They are ALWAYS early and never had one fail to turn up. You have to pay using your credit card and bear in mind they cost more than normal taxis.

Don''t know about Uber, we use Careem a lot. If you book it via the App then you get live tracking as to where your driver is. You get a text message when he is outside. You get a thank you message and confirmation of the cost afterwards. We always use a credit card. You do have to register before hand but its not long or hard.

Anyone had any experience with Careem or Uber? DH might not be able to pick me and DS up from work this afternoon. Just would like to know if I book them, will they definitely come? Or will it be the same as regular RTA taxis and take my chance to see whether they turn up or not? Did you use your credit card to pay or can I pay cash? Many many thanks! Have used Careem several times. Yes they will definitely turn up and they will text you when the driver is en route and when he has arrived. They are not the same as the reg taxis Chauffeur driven, nice cars. I paid online so don't know about the cash option sorry
