Hi Eveanna, can second The Boardwalk in the Golf & Marina Club on the Creek - make sure to take a shawl, can be pretty chilly there - and Cafe Madeleine in Dubai Mall: has a terrace overlooking the fountain (starts from 6 pm every half hour) - spectacular! Enjoy your visit...

La Verandah at the jumeirah beach hotel is a reasonably priced pizzeria type restaurant on the beach with awesome views of the burj al arab. Definitely a good one to take guests to. If you are having lots of guests over it's definitely worth investing in the entertainer books - you get 3 vouchers for each place and most are buy one main course and get one free. More Cafe in Dubai Mall is very reasonable and has a good view of the fountains. There are some nice restaurants in the marina too that have great views of the boats in the marina and the fountains there too.

The steak house on the palm, west 14th? I think it is called that. Call them and they tell you about a special offer you get online. Or get a fine dining book and you can go to some really nice places and save heaps with the vouchers.

We've been to a couple of the restaurants at Dubai Creek Yacht Club recently and have enjoyed both times. QD's sat outside with views over the creek, at sunset is amazing views. Would note that nearly every table except ours was smoking shisha - personally have no problem with it but just as a warning. Boardwalk you have a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. Both are fairly casual, informal dining. If you aren't fussed over alcohol then we also like Social House at Dubai Mall with views over the fountains and Burj K.
