I have an open kitchen, so as well as the washing machine noise disturbing me, I don't want the noise of the dishwasher too.

Any recommendations please? I'm not going for the most expensive either. Not actually sure how much they are to be honest.

I third Miele its silent and I think its also has the fastest wash time of 39minutes. :) It maybe more expensive but I have found after sales service to be exceptional - I had a problem with my Miele microwave oven and the guy came within hours to fix it! <em>edited by Ilovechoos on 15/02/2011</em>

:) can second LG dishwasher. Quiet and love the tune at the end. cleans really well, only ever use the fast wash setting. even dirty pans come out spotless. washer and dryer also LG. Got tunes going off all day long. Or maybe its just in my head hmmm must ask kids if they hear it too?
