Dh and I have finally managed to get out for a couple of tete-a-tete dinners now that my mum is here and can watch LO but we only have one more shot at it before she goes away for a month. We tried Seafire and were very disappointed as we didn't realise that it was a family restaurant and frankly the service was not that great and we tried the Observatory and really didn't like it as the ambiance was only just ok, the food was really not great and it was awfully loud because of the bar. So... where to go tomorrow night?
We live in the Springs and would rather not have to go to far afield but we can.
I was thinking of Verre but then I thought maybe we go for something more casual?? I'm thinking maybe Madinat Jumeirah but have no idea what it's like on a Thursday night and don't know what's good.
Also trying to use Entertainer Dining (or Family).
Ay suggestions will be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Some of my favourites: Bice (Italian) at the Hilton Jumeirah Beach, Nina's great North Indian food, and EAu Zone at the Arabian Court (One and Only Royal Mirage); Okku (Japanese fine dining) and Chris's Ruth Steak House at the Monarch; Asha's (Indian food) at Wafi City; Pepper Crab at the Grand Hyatt, also their Indian Restaurant; The Noble House and the Asiana (splendid dim sum) at the Raffles; both the Chinese and the Vietnamese Restaurants at the Shangri La... but to name a few !

Thanks for the Bussola recommendation. We went with that and it was lovely. Really nice ambiance... excellent service... food wasn't anything to write home about but it was certainly nice. Will definitely go back. And must try the pizza place upstairs too. Thanks again.

Nina at the Royal Mirage is also nice (not in entertainer tho) - Indian, nice atmosphere, and can have drinks beforehand at the rooftop. Otherwise, Traiteur & Bussola are both really nice (Traiteur nicer in my opinion!).

Thanks everyone. Very much appreciated. Am thinking Traiteur or Bussola. Is there anything else that's good at the Royal Mirage? Don't really feel like Moroccan.

In the New Dubai end of town we really like West 14th at Oceana on the Palm, Maya (mexican) at the Royal Meridian, Pai Thai at the Al Qasr (Madinat) - all of these except Pai Thai are in the Fine Diner. If you are happy to go a bit futher afield, then we love Traiteur at the Park Hyatt, also in the Ent. Enjoy. FFx

Tagine's at the Royal Mirage does lovely moroccan food with traditional music. Very nice atmosphere for relaxing and talking but you do need to book. I always love to walk around the pool and gardens afterwards too.

Actually I think Bussola would work for you! And it's in the fine dining book

Would you be happy with something casual such as Noodle House?
