I heard you can book a taxi with a baby car seat...? Is this right? It would be fab if it is, means i'd be able to get out and about... Anybody heard of this?

You'll need to look in your car seat's instruction manual how to fix it with just the seat belt - it is safe, not as safe as ISOFIX but safer than a baby carrier kwim? I've only on occassion left the car seat at the info desk, I've never had a problem, just smile and ask politely.

With a 4 week old even if you get a taxi with a car seat it is the car seats for bigger babies and forward facing - not the right car seat for a baby. What car seat do you have at present? Is it one that clips into your pram? If so then you won't have any issue with putting it in the taxi and then clipping it to your pram once you get to the mall. Even if your carseat doesn't clip in your pram you can still take it in the taxi and then once you get to the mall you can leave your carseat with the conceirge or the information desk until you need it again when you leave. I WOULD NOT TAKE MY CHILD IN A TAXI IN A BABY CARRIER (I'm assuming you mean like a sling) I have a car seat but it doesnt have an isofix or surefix base... can you clip the seatbelt round it and it'll still be safe? It doesnt clip to my pram, I didnt know you could leave things at the info desk? This sounds like a much better and safer solution if it works...

As far as I am aware this is only available at the airport and I was told it was first come first serve basis.

Not sure about booking but they have car seats at the airport so maybe it is possible.
