Just posting this here as no one seems to be answering on the other board, if anyone can help?

Hi, I want to sign up for this but I think you need to be UK based, has anyone signed up from here successfully? Any tips would be welcome, it seems to me that it is a simple way to try and lose weight without too much calorie counting etc, any thoughts on it?

Hi Ladies - I have just created a group on WW (AU) site called The Dubai Diet Club. We can of course change names, but at least we can get it started for now and when we meet perhaps make up a new name now.

I atually like Skinny Binnies. You can be a member, ie a Skinny Binny or it sounds good as a club, the Skinny Binnies. Day 2 of the diet and I have no idea what is for lunch or dinner!

WOW you both have some awesome ideas!! I think Fit for Life is a name of a product/brand?? Seem to have heard this before. Lean and Lovely Ladies (LLL) could be cool! Adore Waisting Away and Fat Enough.. Mission Slimpossible - wow... In fact they are all great! So - anyone would like to be a part of this support group, please send in your votes on the names below from Cyclone T and Delvin and let us know what you think! The names are so good it will be hard to choose....

Thanks Rachel & Chants - you are both really sweet! I just thought of a name that my dancing friend and I used way back when... all of the other tall, thin girls looked great, and we always had to watch our weight - we called ourselves the "Blubber Buddies"??? Otherwise, we could try something positive like 'Arabian Princesses', "Middle East Models, or 'Dubai Dolls'...that way when we 'graduate' we can totally own the name??? Blubber Buddies Fat Blasters Fat Busters Chocoholics Anonymous Y.R.U. FAT The Wannabees Stop Whining Act Today (SWAT) Dubai Dolls Arabian Princesses Middle East Models Skinny Binnies Any other ideas?

We have a group in Doha that meets regularly - some doing WW and a few doing other programs. We've been at it for 2.5 years, and we call ourselves the Doha Fat Fighters (from the Little Britian sketch with Margery Dawes). We've all lost weight, are much healthier than when we first got started, and ALWAYS ALWAYS have a good laugh! Feel free to use the name - it works for us! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3QDKVxpuCE

Not meaning to hi-jack the thread but there is a support group in Mirdif for those trying to lose weight. Most member is follow slimming world not WW but if you can't get sorted on getting a group together for WW and want to join in with us let me know I can send you details. Good luck with your weight loss journey! edited by chants39 on 23/08/2011

Hey Nkaye I was just thinking the same anyone know how to create a group on FB??? I think you can do it from the create a page link, go to your home page and at the very bottom it has options to click highlighted in blue. Hi There - I just took a look and you can create a GROUP from the margin on the left hand side. I would love to do this, but my account is also linked with my business so I prefer to keep things separate. Otherwise, we could start a new facebook page...but wondering if the usergroup on the website would be easier?? We can also swap recipes on this no?? edited by SuzyDuzy on 23/08/2011 Actually yes, this is how you do it - seen it now. Thx Suzy Duzy

thought You ladies might enjoy this!!!! have finally figured out why I'm overweight! The shampoo I use in the shower that runs down my body says " for extra volume and body". I'm going to start using dish-washing liquid, it says "dissolves fat that is otherwise difficult to remove". Aaagh! You just made my day!!!!

I probably should have explained better. I did this last time, created a group all nicely done, came back here and the righteous mods deleted all my efforts. So I don't how to get around it. If you all join a thread on the ww forum, say the uk one, look out for the title, we'll take it from there. Surely this post can stay as I haven't mentioned anything!

let me know if you set it up, I signed up last night and am finding it a bit of information overload at the moment, time will sort that out but it would be good to see and meet others following it. TIA

WW really don't want anything to do with the Middle East - there were a group of us with CycloneT when she tried and tried to get them to support us (tried both Europe and Australia over a long period of time). They tried to send lawyers after out little group too, so just a warning if you do want to set up a group (and I wholly support the idea having lost 2 stone during that time and kept it off!), be very careful about not mentioning them :( Exactly what Pinks said. Sadly formalised WW in the ME is not going to happen in the foreseeable future however there is no reason a group of likeminded and health conscious ladies couldn't meet up once a week with a set of scales and a topic to discuss. And you really should see how brilliant Pinks and Cornish Pixie look and feel after following a quasi WW plan. Both have lost and notably kept off a decent amount of weight without compromising their 'Dubai' lifestyle.

for anyone already doing the online thing, how do I go about swapping my activity points for food points or does it automatically start using the activity points when you exceed your daily pro points allowance. I have 11 activity points I want to make food points! TIA I think it automictically does it for you, once you have exceeded your points limit.

You can create a group from any ww site for anywhere. Please post here which site you start the group on and it's name. Or just Facebook group it ?
