Why is it so hard to find any restaurant open on a Friday that does not serve brunch. One month in Dubai and we've given up hope going out for lunch on a Friday. What do you moms (who would really like one day off from cooking) and dads with young kids do on Friday?

Seagrill at Fairmont The Palm does not have a Friday brunch and it is a beautiful restaurant right on the beach. The food and service were fabulous. We too are very tired of the Friday brunch. Thanks, will definitely give it a try.

pantry cafe (one in bay square, one in jumeirah) tashas (galaria mall) cocoa room (before 12 at galaria mall) the pavilion on the boulavard (although it is a brunch it has no alcohol and is very chill and family friendly, plus you still order your main).

Most of the Madinat restaurants don't do brunch. Jumeirah Beach Hotel got Dhow and Anchor and La Veranda. Wavebreaker at the Hilton Jumeirah. Beachhouse at Anatara. Ronda Locatelli at Atlantis.

If you just want something casual: Hard Rock Café - usually have face painting, balloons etc for kids Lime Tree café - nice and relaxed Certo at Radisson Hotel in Media City have kids play area Anywhere in JBR is nice in this weather Irish Village is good for an early dinner after the brunch crowd. Good fish and chips with nice outdoor bar with duck pond etc.... Hope this helps...

I agree with the suggestion about the golf clubs, it is nice weather to sit outside and most of the clubs have a childrens play area

What do you moms (who would really like one day off from cooking) and dads with young kids do on Friday? The D&A in Jumeirah Beach Hotel was busy on Friday afternoon with families. Also Jamie's Italian in the same hotel serve al a carte menu all day. You could also try the golf clubs or the cafe and restaurants at JBR.

I really enjoy Diwan Al Muhanna on sheikh Zayed Road and it's on the entertainer. another favorite is the Friday buffet in Yamal Al Sham in Jumeirah these are Arabic cuisine if you're into it. if you're looking for hotels, i wouldn't know because i am not into over priced food.
