Haha.. I am the OP and this thread is as old as the hills. By the way, the cut was so bad I had to take my DD to the hairdresser three times for evening out since then. Sue62. - Get over yourself! edited by SwissGirl on 02/01/2011

Just took my 2 year old daughter for a hair cut at Bianca in the Springs. I specifically told the lady I wanted a neat bob. My toddler now has a short in the back, long in the front Victoria Beckham style cut ( yep, the one that she made famous) and it looks AWFUL. I am so mad at this woman. I told her she was cutting too short but she just kept doing her thing. I wanted to warn others. I will never go back there. :( I had make up done there for a friend's wedding and seems they only know the "subtle" make up style favoured by some ladies of this region- it was like a Twisted Sister look going on. I told them time and again I want a subtle make up - nothing scary. Was very upset when I left from there.

I think the OP was more concerned that it didn't suit her 2 year old daughter.....

I happen to have the"dreaded graduated bob" as someone described it! Shame on you, I happen to love my hair cut and many others have commented on how good it looks. Maybe it just does not suit you! edited by Susie731 on 02/01/2011 edited by Susie731 on 02/01/2011

both mine were almost at school before their first salon haircut.I feel sorry for any child whose mother can get so traumatised over a flipping haircut !! The child is 2 ffs - it will soon grow and be a distant memory unlike the mental anguish you have now lumbered her with !! *like*

Yes I did pay a tipped very well as with blowdry hair looked fine, when I washed @ home and straighten it looked like someone just chopped without 'smoothing' the ends. Maybe its me but I think a good haircut doesn't need much work to be done @ home...and my hair is straight. Once again that's my opinion and unfortunately my butched hair!!!

i think from what you mean is not entirely bad haircut. My take is that the hairdresser didn't listen to your request. This is apparently the stylist style of bob from what I have seen; she has cut my other friends kids hair, and i think it quite nice and neat. Her only crime is that she didn't listen. and you obviously upset. i had my experience with my DD but my DD at the same age as yours at the time didn't even know what's the differrence or fuss I suggest you register a feedback, don't say complain but feedback with expectations that she listen to her clients. not act on her own mind. edited by tipahtertipu on 02/01/2011 edited by tipahtertipu on 02/01/2011

The point is that certain people should not call themselves HAIRDRESSERS but butchers!!! Had my haircut just before new years eve @ hairworks jumeirah and its disaster...and it wasn't cheap. Why did you pay if it was awful.....

DD never got the pleasure of a salon. Now she is a teen and I still trim the back for her:\: Don't worry, get it evened out and it will be grown back in a month. really.

Perhaps there is a good reason that so many women have long hair over here. It will grow again in no time, don't worry about it.

I can only say ït is only hair and it will grow. As someone said earlier, the kids usually have no idea but if the parent makes a big fuss, they will sure be self consious about their hair....if you like your own hairdresser, thats where you take them. I came back from holiday to find my 15 yr old had an orange army cut lol....well, it grew and didnt hurt anyone and was eventually forgotten, he loved it so who was I to say it looked terrible lol

I remember way back in the 60s going on my own for a haircut as mum was ill in bed with flu. She called the hairdresser and explained so off I went feeling all grown up (I was 9) Back I came with the latest style which was the Mia farrow cut (looked like I'd signed up for the marines, according to my dad!!) My mum cried for days, I loved it!!!! :D
