But how many people on here have actually witnessed an actual maid/SO relationship with their own eyes, whether in their own household or a friend's? I know you hear about it all the time, like the 'headache money' thing, but I discounted a lot of that as Dubai urban myth and rumour-mongering, and women's discomfort with having a female employee living under their own roof...? When I heard about incidents, it was always a 'friend of a friend of a friend' etc.

no man is 150% trustworthy...a man who has never cheated is a man who has never been offered... My husband was offered. By a knickerless western woman at the Jebel Ali carwash. He refused and walked into the waiting room where I was obliviously reading a 7 days newspaper. He came in and told me what had just happened and she came in too, sat opposite us with her legs spread wide open. Thankfully our car was ready and as we walked out I said to her you really need to keep your knickers on or your legs together, no man wants something that nasty. We got in the car and had a good laugh at how pathetic she was. That's just plain bizarre!

tell the husband about the rumours. If it is true he probably will stop. Honestly, you dont go to the wife unless you absolutely know for sure and the be prepared for her to never speak with you again, it is a possibility but not necessarily a given :)

When we lived at the Lakes in Maeen, the next door neighbour was at it with the maid. All the other maids on the street knew (one of them told me). I saw him once disappearing into the Maid's room and closing the door behind him. Yuk. You also have to worry about the other women. There are a lot of Europeans who go out on the pull, hoping to bag a married man who earns a lot.... KKS that's hideous! :\: I don't think it's more or less common than workplace affairs - working in close proximity sadly leads some people to stray, I think it's just an opportunity for someone whose nature leans towards the unfaithful side. I would definitely not approach the maid though...perhaps I would approach the husband, but be prepared to potentially lose your friendship, at least for a while. If it's true though, in the long run I think it's kinder to say something. I would want to be told.

I heard many a maid story. When hubby suggested we get one I went to the uniform shop and bought a nice little blue number and then to Satwa for a black long-haired wig. ;) Seems to work for him. lol

I know lots of men here who's wives can't be here with them for various reasons. Some cheat, some don't and aren't interested and yes they've all be been offered even the one's who's wives are here have been offered it's so funny when some obvious tart is flaunting herself at DH or his mates and they don't even notice - too busy chatting to good friends to even notice what's happening under their noses.

No summerdream the Dh had NEVER been alone with maid - she'd overheard maid scheming and chatting on phone to another maid about her plans to get him alone and how happy she'd make him feel. Friend's DH is 150% trustworthy.
