I dont think your the youngest, i moved over here when i had just turned 20, with a four month old,and my hubby. Now i've just turned 21 with my 1 year old causing mayhem!! So far i haven't met any other Dubai mum younger than me! x
I' m glad there are more of us in the 20's....i just don't see any at all....lucylou, 2 and 25 thats brilliant, i wanted to do that but just didn't get married in time lol....
Flydiver, you're defo right about the peter pan syndrome, everyone thinks we were too young to get married let alone have a kid.... But its always been my dream to have my two kids by 30.
Good lick with your pregnancy MrsAbdalla
Xx
Not many western people I know had secured a package that could support a family at that age, so maybe that's why they waited. I arrived at 25 and my friends thought I was young to be married, which I thought was odd at the time, as alot of my friends at home already had kids.
Dubai seems to bring on a bit of Peter Pan syndrome sometimes.
I find time flies by here, but maybe that's just me.
Hi ladies,
I'm just wondering if i'm the youngest mum in Dubai....
Every mum i have bumped into seems to be in their 30's....i don't have a problem with 30+ year olds, infact i have made great friends with a few....but its just something i've started to wonder about???
One of my neighbours is 35 and has 11 kids so i doubt it! But for an expat i guess you're young, comparing to others. Im 28 now and having my first very soon inshAllah and super-duper excited :D
You are definitely not the youngest mom! Yes lots of women are having children later in life but there are still loads of women that start having a family when they are in their early twenties. I had my first daughter when I was 24.
