It's great to hear so many of you are with Dr F. I have made a tough decision to leave my present doc who I have done 3 failed ICSI with and changing to .dr F...was worried at first with the clinic being so new etc.... But it seems he has a good reputation? Good luck to you girls who are starting cycles in July, I am taking a break from cycles now and hope to start in Sept! Spent 1 year on 3 IUI followed by 3 ICSI and need to take time out from it ! Hope you all keep posting info on this forum, I find it really helpful!

I have also been recommended Conceive Clinic and Talwan Clinic in Al Ain. Any preferences on these clinics ladies?? Also can you advise what costs am I going to be up for. You most probably mean Tawam Hospital in Al Ain. Don't know anyone who went there, but they have a website with profiles of all doctors. Conceive Clinic is located at the beginning of Sharjah, and not too difficult to reach from Dubai. There's also DGFC in Healthcare City. I'd recommend to visit all clinics you'd consider in person, and then make up your mind. Good luck!

Aussie Girl- I am also a Dr. Fakih patient and agree with what ivfuae said. You have done this before so you know but please bear in mind the number of times you will be going to the clinic, and the fact that sometimes you are going to be stressed to **** when you are going, before committing to a Sharjah or Al Ain clinic. Unless, of course, you happen to live in Sharjah or Al Ain... Good luck.

Aussie Girl I went to Dr F, and found him and his team great. I will also go to him again for my second one. The IVF package cost is 25,000 dirhams (that includes all the meds, scans, retrieval, transfer and few blood test after the transfer). Dr F success rate is very high. I also read from ff website that Dr P at the conceive is also very good. Perhaps you can visit that website, there are lot of ladies there who will help you (in particular Sharry). Conceive the cost is around 20, 000 dirhams, bear in mind he is based in Sharjah. Not sure about the one in Al Ain, don't have any experience or know anyone who has used that one. If you live Dubai I would recommend Dr F, is very good and also his clinic is based just of Al Wasl Road (past Emirates Bank and the big Life Pharmacy), so its convenient. Everyone in that clinic is very friendly and welcoming, always there to answer all your queries. If you don't mind the drive give Dr P a shot......everyone in FF say his very good too. Best of luck to all the ladies....wishing lots baby dust your way! :) edited by ivfuae on 26/05/2011

Hi Ladies. Your stories are certainly heart warming. I have a gorgoues 2yo whom was my 5 attempt at IVF. I am currently considering another baby and would obviously need to go down the IVF path. Not having done a cycle here in the UAE I am wanting a doctor who has his finger on the dial and extremely professional. Most of you are recommending Dr. Fakih whom I will review. I have also been recommended Conceive Clinic and Talwan Clinic in Al Ain. Any preferences on these clinics ladies?? Also can you advise what costs am I going to be up for. Sending hugs to you all and hoping all your dreams come true!! Thanks edited by Aussie Girl on 25/05/2011

Tinker bell, Hopefully you wont need to go to another Dr, I hope it works for you this time. Good things do happen when you least expect, so this time will be your time. I'll keep everything crossed for you. :) I would highly recommend Dr F. I will go to him again for my second one. His team are really nice and friendly, they are always there to help. Dr F also, always called back to answer my questions etc. The new clinic just off Al Wasl road is very nice, everything new.....lab etc, with latest tech. Looks like he spent a lot of money, when I had my treatment back in 2009, I had to go to Emirates Hospital in AD for egg retrieval & transfer, but now he has been given license to do ALL the procedures here in Dubai. Tinker bell, best luck. Keep us updated and share your good news with us! :)

nickym1d which doctor are you seeing, if u don't mind me asking? Wishing you all the best! I hope you get 3rd time lucky. :) I go often on ff, though lately its a bit quite! Tinker bell, are you doing FET, here in Dubai? I thought it was banned?? Well I was informed by Dr F. Though the success rate is low, again I read wonders in various forums.....so don't worry. Another patient of Dr F, (we became close friend) had FET last year, Dr called her to say what do with her frosties, (the new law came into place so they were unable to store them). They thought instead of wasting them might as well give it one last shot.....they were not expecting it to work, especially at thawing process only 1 embbie made it!They laughed.....and thought more money wasted for nothing!!! Well what you know they say survival of the fittest....and this one was the fittest........grew into a beautiful healthy baby (born Jan 2011). Never say never. Don't give up hope! Hi ivfuae Yes I'm doing it in the UAE , I think they keep on changing rules whenever they feel like it:) my doctor said he can't extend the freezing date more than 4 month! other friends told me they froze theirs for over a year! confusing ever changing rules and regulations :) Thank you for the inspiring story , it's some how similar to mine I was not planning to do FET till July ,and there comes the telephone call from my Dr., I have to use them this month or discard them. I had to change all my travelling plans, i'm not lossing hope yet and any chance even 1% is worth the money and time. I wanted to ask you about Dr. F ,it seems a lot of you ladies tried him.If it didn't work for me (hopefully it does work this time) i'd like to try another clinic , is he recommended?

Hi ladies, I'm doing my Frozen Embryo transfer in a couple of weeks following my first round of IVF last Jan. I believe the first IVF is the hardest ... at least you know what to expect comes the second round. Although i've been told repeatdly that the success chances of Frozen embryos is less then a fresh cycle , i'm still crossing my fingers and hoping for the best. Good Luck to all on your IVF journey and always stay positive :)

Barmy Army, don't give up hope, your time will come. I also had my son from treatment from Dr F and will be going to him again later on the year for my 2nd one. Like dubai27 3rd time worked for me. Dr F & his team are wonderful. I was just on fertility friends website earlier, lady there posted a wonderful message, she had 3 unsuccessful IVF with Dr P, after her latest BFN Dr P said to her no point spending anymore on IVF, it will not work for her and that she needs to look at donor egg, DEIVF is not available here in the UAE. In her cycle her and hubby gave it a shot! What you know she conceived naturally and is currently 5 weeks pregnant! How great is that hey? Don't give up, from reading various forums it seems anything can happen.....even when it all seems impossible. Wishing you all the best in your fertility journey ladies.

Evening Ladies, We are in the middle of IVF and had my egg collection today 9 but not great quality so again another nervous waiting game. It is the most emotional thing I have ever done!! I am constantly crossing my finger and praying it work lol Good luck to you all any questions just ask I might be able to answer them. Then on the other hand I might not know as I am thinking do I exercise tomorrow? Sadly put on loads of weight over the last month and feel very unfit and fat but lets hope it is for the greater good :)

Congratulations Dubai71. Barmy Army, I really hope it will be a case of 3rd time lucky. I'm hoping to begin my 1st cycle with Dr Fakih in September (provided my DH doesn't get cold feet - he's not too keen on having a needle anywhere near the contents of his boxers).
