Hi Ladies,
It's my first year with a bub and I am finding that in the mornings my little one is a bit warm (her room is) when she wakes if I leave the AC off. If I leave it on at night, she is quite cold and wakes. What is the best practice around here? What has worked for everyone?
Any help would be much appreciated!

Since moving DD on to the Grobag (1 tog), she is in a sleep suit and I also pull a cellular blanket over her! She moves quite a bit during the night, but does not seem to be getting cold at all. I have the temp set on 24 degrees.

To be honest, I think each little bub is different. My youngest DS doesn't like it too hot so I make the room quite chilly (a/c on about 21 degrees) and he's in a long sleved onesie and a gro bag. He gets restless if he's too hot and likes to be snnuggled (like me!).

my two sleep in a t-shirt and knickers/nappy and I have the A/C on at 24 and just turn it off when I go to bed. DS won't keep any kind of blanket or sheet over the top of him but DD will - just a light something, although she often kicks it off. Better to be too cold than too hot! edited by Hello.Again.Kitty on 09/05/2011

Great thread! I've been wondering the same. I've got my 5mo in a babygro/onesie/sleepsuit (short sleeved and no legs) in a 1.5 tog sleeping bag, with air-con at 23 degrees. Perhaps I've got the room a bit cold, but I think that the sleeping bag should be 1.0 tog and I'm too tight to buy another one (bought them over from Oz). He sleeps through the night except for a feed at 4am (which might be because he is cold!)

Have you got a sleeping bag for her? I'd put the AC on 25 degrees and put on a babygro (onesie) and then a sleeping bag. It'll be way too hot without AC in the summer.
