Ladies.... We finally have access to our pool again (nakheel grrrr) so I'm hoping you might advise me on what swim aids or floatations devices you've found work the best.

I've heard some bunch up under their necks, some fall off, and some don't hold their head out of the water. My LO can't swim and has only just started walking, but tips on any toddler age group would be great. Also if you remember where you bought them.

TIA

My DD used arm bands until she was about 18months/2 years old when we changed her into a swim jacket. You can get suits with built in floats which might work. Adventure HQ have a great range as did Go Sport in Dubai Mall.

highly recommend the swim fin. we started our boy in it from just after 1 though he was having swim lessons from 4 months. rather than arm bands or floaties these keep bub upright and dont stop kids from using their arms. our DS is now 18 months and swimming with it unaided. http://www.swimfin.co.uk/ you can buy them at adventure HQ at times square for 150 dhs.

I take it that your lil one is about 1 yo. The first floatation aid I used was the one that looked like this http://www.familyleisure.com/Discount-Pool-Supplies/Aqua-Fun-BabySitter . I got it 2nd hand, but I'm sure mother care would sell them. Once your LO is walking properly, switch to the arm bands one. I bought them at mother care too. Please remember to have a swimming hat on for your LO as it's so hot atm, lots of sunscreen and stay close at all times. Other than that, you will have plenty of fun! :) Enjoy.
