Congratulations! I just wanted to give a bit of reassurance and say the same thing happened to me in 2010. I miscarried @ 8 weeks and I was pregnant again the next month. The second pregnancy was a dream & my LO will be 1 next month so try not to worry. I've heard the 2nd babies referred to as "rainbow babies" so, think positive thoughts and y'all be meeting your little rainbow baby soon :)

Thanks! No I didn't go to City Hospital, I was at my regular doctor's clinic and she SMS'd me the blood results! Was in the salon getting a mani pedi, shock of my life lol!! Need to go in in 2 weeks to see how the b-HCG levels are rising :) :) :) Congratulations! It's time to start a December due dates thread!

I was there on fri having my glucose tol test done and a lady was at the lab reception asking about a b-HCG test while i was waiting. Couldnt help wondering if that could have been you? I had the same thing happen to me. I miscarried at 6 weeks and had a D&C. I got pregnant again within 4 weeks! I had to do the blood tests Tiptoptoni referred to and everything worked out. I know what you mean about being scared and not getting too excited about the pregnancy. I don't think I truly got excited until baby was in my arms! Good luck!!!

Think positive TDB....I so so so hope this is good news for you. Yes, it is dreadful and quite strange that I logged on and read this today as it is my first really bad day in a while and I am also feeling exactly the same as you...so desperate to get pregnant again but also so scared that I will miscarry again that it's almost a black cloud that has hit me today. PLEASE let us know how you get on. It's a tough time and we have to hope and pray for a happy ending. I am sure it will be and I have absolutely everything crossed for you. Hugs and Good Luck :)

Yes it is possible, i had the same thing. Mc at 6w, d&c nd pregnant right away. Unfortunately i miscarried that one too at 16w but its not related to getting pg right after mc or d&c. I think i was exposed to salmonella or some other infection which caused me to miscarry my completely formed, healthy baby. I was sad when i read ur mc in other thread, but mow cautiosly happy for you! :) i Wish u have a successfull pgcy nd pls take care, take things easy. ETA: good u r seeing the dr asap, i had to have progesterone for all my pgcs. <em>edited by Flower33 on 10/04/2012</em>

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage. The answer is it could be either the left over bHCg or a new pregnancy. They will need to do two blood tests 48 hours apart to see if the bHCG is doubling. If not it could be left over from the miscarriage. Did you get a negative test beforehand? Each time I miscarried it took me about 6- 7 weeks to get a negative but I was about 12 weeks along so levels would have been higher and of course everyone is different. Good luck.
