Thanks for pointing that out Meagle, in fact many countries recommend rear facing till 4yrs of age (though not sure I'll take it that far). Bend legs is not an issue at all, unless of course your child complains. If your child is on the tall side look for a bigger seat, the BeSafe Izi would be a good option, much more leg room when rearfacing compared to the Dual Fix. No rear facing Britax is available for sale in Dubai (at least there wasn't 3 months ago when I was looking). As some of you (TDB?) may recall, I have a BeSafe and a Dual Fix, bought the Dual Fix from carseat.se and it was a huge hassle getting it delivered (out of stock, then Dubai Post decided there was no contact info on the box although there clearly was so they held it at Central Post office and nobody contacted us, etc) but it is a very nice seat and the swivel function is great. DD is a bit on the big side and I am concerned she will outgrow it fast (you can read my review if you search for "rear facing seats") so I've been toying with the idea of selling it but haven't decided yet. The only place I know where you can easily find it online is carseat.se but mothercare.uk and some other places may have it too.

i noticed an extended rear facing Britax in Toys R Us Festival City a few months ago but can't remember the name of it. Might have been max fix?

Thank you meagle for the facts, i thought it was until 12 months. Her car seat now is small and her feet are bent, if i get her another car seat would it still bend her legs? THe dangerous blonde i think its the same one i'm looking for too. If i find it i'll definitely let you know

At 14 months she really should still be rear facing. It's much, much safer. This is an easy and helpful read on why it's important to rear face beyond 1 year: [url=http://seattlemamadoc.seattlechildrens.org/2-is-the-new-1-rear-facing-car-seats-until-at-least-age-2/'>link[/url'> The key take away: "Your small little love is 75% less likely to die or incur a serious injury if rear-facing when riding the car." You're in UAE which has terrible road safety and accidents are frequent and common. Better to find a convertible seat that will take her at least until her 2 rear facing and then turn her around when she outgrows the rear facing limits on the seat.

Depends what you're looking for; I was only able to find a couple of basic, forward facing models in shops here. Yu may be better off ordering online.
