Yes. She's in mirdif 3 days a week. The clinic is at Uptown Mirdif. By Zaks school shop, near Caribou coffee. Give them a call and ask to speak to her and see what she says as I'm not sure of te answer myself. There is also an option to email her via their website.

I've been taking my DS to Lauren too. She's wonderful and the treatment has really worked for us. Thouroughly recommend her. Does she have a branch at Mirdif too? If so, where? And do you think it would be helpful for persistent cough and congested chest?

Hi Gemm poor sleeping, crankiness, general demeanour. A few people have commented recently that he is like a different child now, we've gone from total crankiness to constant singing :\: . After our last appointment he sang for 3 hours non stop. :\: he's been a bad sleeper since day 1, he used to wake every hour til he was around 1 yr (reflux etc) then for the last few years he has ALWAYS woken at least 2 or 3 times a night for no apparent reason. Wish I had taken him when he was a baby. Don't ask me how it works but it does. Even skeptical hubby said last night he is definitely different - normally by the time DH comes home DS is pretty cranky but the last few nights has been sitting quietly playing and singing. Wow. It sounds amazing. can you please tell me how much the charge is? Also, how old is your son? My DD is also generally a cranky and doesn't sleep well. Might take her.

I would like to know - do you continue treatment even when things seem 'sorted' to make sure they stay sorted? or do you only go when things are unsorted? I was told to come back after a month. I'm yet to take DS back (been meaning to call and book all morning). Not sure if it's a coincidence or not, but DS reflux seems to have come back flightly in the last week...so I'm wondering if it's because he needs further treatment??? Guess we'll have to wait and see.

We went because our son has reflux. Unfortunately it didnt help a lot but I am sure for other babies it can help. She looked as if she really knew what she was doing and she was completely honest. She said sometimes it helps and sometimes it doesnt, if after 3 sessions there is no improvement than its better to stop the treatment. Very honest and I appreciated that!

Miss Balamory, I'm interested to know what made you seek treatment from an osteopath for your son. Was it specifically related to sleeping issues? Thanks Gemm

can I aks what kind of "issues" your babies had? I dont even know if osteopathy is the answer to our issues.. My DS had reflux so I initially took him for that. Lauren discovered a few other issues, tension in his skull and also a stiff neck, she worked on it and the results have been wonderful.

I'm going to Lauren at the Dubai Osteopathic Health Centre as well. Been to her previously and she's great. You could also try Malcolm Gregory at the same place. Think he's the head of the centre. Very experienced. Think sessions with him are a little more expensive though, from what i remeber. You'd need to check. Lauren seems to be experienced with women's issues and kids from what i've read.

I took my baby to an osteopath on Al Wasl Road at the Osteopathy health Centre: 04-348-73-66, her name was Lauren but I think they are all good over there. Good luck! edited by Yasmine on 15/01/2011
