It has been discussed already a couple of times.
Cerazette is out of stock in the UAE.

I was able to find new stock in Oman. A friend of mine travels frequently to Muscat and I called a couple of pharmacys and they do not have the problem like we in the UAE. More than enough stock is available and like in the UAE no prescription is required.

I am happy that I have new supply for the next 6 months. This pill works fine for me and I can combine it while I am still breastfeeding.

So ladies, if you are still looking for new supply, take a drive to Dibba (Oman side) or plan a trip to Muscat :).

Frustrating and annoying! Can I just ask, is micronor available here if I was to change to that? Otherwise not really sure what to do!!! I don't know because I got it from the UK, but if you're really stuck and want something to tide you over until you can find something else, then you're welcome to it. Cerazette's actually one of the newer progesterone-only pills, but is by no means the only one. It's apparently quite well-known for causing low moods/ aggravating depression - or so my GP told me - so it wouldn't surprise me if they were discontinuing it on that basis. Micronor's one of the older ones. Your GP should have a big book listing all available medicines and should be able to prescribe you an alternative.

Just thought i would share, went to a Boots pharmacy yesterday and asked the pharmacists if they have any cerazette. She said actually they have discontinued it. I asked for clarification, as in not making it anymore ect? And she said yes. I said well what will breast feeding women take and her reply was its a big problem. So this is my current info. So frustrating.

ooo, this is a bit embarrassing - I've just checked and I don't have any Cerazette (oops), but I do have 3 months worth of Micronor, which I was prescribed as an alternative to Cerazette - exactly the same principle - 28day, progesterone-only pill. I would check with your Dr to see if it's a suitable [temporary'> alternative for you, but if you're really stuck and want it, then it's free to a good home. I have no need for it and better used than binned! Drop me a line on hello.kittydxb aT gmail dot com if you'd like it.

Sorry plumie, I gave AP's to JodieOz! :D Those of you who plan to get them in the UK, just remember you'll need to see a GP first and get a prescription. You can't buy them OTC there like you can here. Maybe that's why we have so many teenage mums.....:\:.

And so I discovered the same thing this morning :( Called almost every pharmacy in Dubai and nothing available on the shelves!!! Luckily I am able to get some off somebody who is willing to part with hers as she no longer needs them! So frustrating!
