we have this one and it was good from when DS was about 6 months old, still good now and he is 11kg http://www.kathmandu.com.au/Boys/0-18_months/40342/Karinjo_Child_Carrier.html not sure if you can buy it in Dubai, but if you fin an expat selling it, def a good midrange one, although if its for flying, I think mothercare does one with wheels too. <em>edited by kiwispiers on 10/07/2011</em>

hated the baby bjorn (so did my son). love love love our ergo...get a cocoon insert for NB or whatever they are called.-a must for travel. get it from babysouk so you dont buy a fake. used a moby wrab for early months...liked it! use the ring sling on occasion as it stuffs into the stroller or bag easier than anything else...just cant use it for long periods.

Yes, I think thats it. It's the designer type shop opposite the elephant. Someone told me they were selling them and I went in and asked as it doesn't look like a baby type shop, there is a small window display that you can see as you walk in or out of Paris Galleries. They had about 4 left when I got mine a week ago.

The Moby wrap was a God send from 0 to 12 months. Now we are loving our Ergo which is kind on the back when your baby weighs more. There are different Ergo models, I like the Ergo Sport.

Def second the Ergo, DH and i both have one (i have orig, he has performance) and its great - can easily switch between our 1 yr old and nearly 3 yr old without having to alter the settings at all. Great investment, use it especially when travelling at the airport etc....

If you're looking for a brand recommendation, I think you can't go past the Ergo. I have occasionally been carrying one child and been able to switch to the other one without having to adjust the carrier. It's amazingly comfortable, all of the wieght is taken by your hips so you don't really even feel the weight of the child. I have carried a 20kg toddler for hours and not been uncomfortable...and I'm NOT fit and strong. ;) My Ergo has survived three children and has now been passed onto a friend to use for hers. It's indestructable. :D I believe the parent company now ships internationally. http://www.ergobabycarrier.com/ ETA - you can use it on your front, back or hip and there's an infant insert available for newborns. <em>edited by Green-ish on 28/06/2011</em>
