What's the difference between a Vibe, an Explorer and an E3? And what should I expect to pay for each one here? Ta :).

ETA: The double version of each one!

DC I'm heading into your neck of the woods this arvo. Want me to pop round and u can have a fiddle with my P&T Sport and see how it feels and all connects? It's so hard getting an idea of it all from the websites. I can drop it off at around 2:30 if your interested??

In newborn mode, the toddler seat is on top, and the newborn kind of slots in underneath on the main seat that unzips to lie flat. It does feel a bit like shoving them in the boot, but hey. Alternatively, you can use the cs adaptor and have newborn facing you on top in the car seat, whilst toddler is in the normal toddler-seat position. The weight of the car-seat means that the buggy remains nicely balanced and really easy to push. They've also brought out a carry-cot, but I don't think it can work with the double set-up. So the main seat unit you'd have if you had only one baby in there goes completely flat, then you attach another seat to the top to put the toddler in? And then you put the baby in from the back?

In the photo of the one I saw the 2nd back seat doesn't have a shade cover, are they meant to? no, they don't. The back seat is mainly shaded by the top seat (and you pushing it), but the UV cover covers both of the seats, so if you're concerned about the sun, it's well worth getting one (also good against the wind and dust)

DC - don't be in a rush. I would not recommend lifting the P & T in/out of car after a C-section. It is very heavy but great for off roading / outdoors. Heavy? My P & T (v basic E3) is easily half the weight of the single Bebe Confort Loola stroller, which weighs 13 kg, and the tandem Mothercare Phoenix. It's so much easier to fold up, lift in and out of car boot, lift over pavement steps.

The Explorer superseded the Sport model. I bought the Explorer with double kit in Australia last October for about $700. I had two melted wheel frames which were replaced promptly from P & T in NZ plus had a new frame couriered to Dubai as there was a recall due to the brakes. DC - don't be in a rush. I would not recommend lifting the P & T in/out of car after a C-section. It is very heavy but great for off roading / outdoors. My DD prefers the McLaren Twin Techno as she can sit side by side with her brother but it is not as easy to navigate as the P & T.

I've been looking at it on the P&T website and I can't for the life of me work out how it actually works with a newborn and a toddler in it. Am I being dim? I think perhaps I should have started thinking about all this a little sooner than six weeks before #2 arrives! Especially since #1 showed up 3 weeks early... Don't worry, I went and bought the Pear and then had to change it with a month-old! Yikes, the converter kit for the Apple is 300 quid! Steady on! I think I like the look of the Vibe. Has anyone seen that in stock anywhere here? Or does anyone have one I could push around for ten minutes?! Shame, a friend of mine here had one, but she's now back in the UK. It was a very different beast to the Sport though, much chunkier, for one... and the bottom seat hadn't quite resolved the comfort issue of the back bar - on the Sport, the padded seat rests on top of it, so you only have an issue when you want it reclined and your child is too tall for it (simple solution = don't recline it), but the Vibe, from what I can remember, had the bar padded, but the seat padding sewn in underneath, so that the bar always formed a lip.

We bought the Explorer from Bumblebee in Dubai Mall in April when they had special, it ended up being AED3,000 for the pram and double kit. It didn't work out too much more than what our friends paid online in the UK. I then ordered the travel bag online, which has been great and well worth it. I also ordered the adaptor for the car seat online, ours is a peg perego but you def get the one for maxi cosi as our next door neighbours have it. I would def say go and try it in the shop and get them to show you how to put it up and down, I have been in there a few times as ours is quite stiff and I struggle to put it down! I'm getting the hang of it now and can't wait for the weather to get better so we can get out more. Our LO's are 19 months apart and have used it quite a bit. Happy Shopping!

345 quid new? Sold. I think the Pear converter thingy will be at least a couple of hundred all in, and I'd probably be able to sell the Apple for a reasonable price here given that it's only a few months old and 3,000dhs in Just Kidding. Is it worth going to one of the stockists here for a push-around or will the Sport do the trick, do you think? And KB, did you like the one you had? I've got a little run-around in the UK and tbh, hardly every use it! Sure, the P&T is heavier, but it's still lighter than either of my children and it's so much more manoeuvrable (plus comes with a hand pointed front to clear a passage!)... I'm only now considering downgrading because DD really shouldn't need to be in a buggy any more and DS is getting to the stage where he doesn't need to be either... well, in a few months. I *think* the series goes E3 -> Classic -> Sport v1 -> Sport v2 -> Explorer -> Vibe

yeah, you can get an adaptor to take Maxi-Cosis... it's about £20 online. I would also highly recommend getting the double UV cover and the travel bag for flights. Absolutely get it in the UK, or get relatives to get it and bring it over. Kiddicare do the Sport double for £345 new, but to be honest, I got mine second-hand in fantastic condition with the car-seat adaptor, rain-cover and UV cover thrown in (oh, and the cocoon - waste of time) for £200... but that really was a bargain. I got to the house and apparently there was another person already on the way! The sport is pretty much indestructible - keep the tires pumped up and you'll be good to trog around for years - and you can buy individual spare parts for pretty much every part of it. DC - you know what I think of the Pear... sell your Apple and keep happy memories of it. If you're canny, you'll be able to sell the Apple for more than you'll but the P&T for and then when you're done with that, you can sell it here in Dubai for what you paid for it in the UK. Actually, thinking about it, I might well be selling mine soon.

There are loads of reviews comparisons online if you google. I loved the look of the vibe. But it got some bad reviews and didn't seem as robust as the others. I'll try dig out the info I have and send it to you. Our laptop is out of order so doing everything on my phone...not as quick and easy but I'll see what I can find. Not even sure which one we got in the end. I think the sport? I used it quite a bit in the beginning but not so much now... Infact it's been sat in the garage for a whole month untouched now. But yours will be closer in age so I'm sure it'll be put to great use ;-)

Just Kidding super-helpfully don't stock the Apple Pip Converter I need to make ours a double, and super-helpfully won't order it, so I'm weighing up whether to get someone to bring it over from the UK or sell the Apple and get a P&T. Might go to Bumble Bee one day this week for a nosey if you fancy it :). Where else stocks P&Ts?
