I was recommended Dr Josza by a friend for pregnancy but they had only used him for gyne issues, has anyone actually delivered with him? If so, is he pro natural birth or more geared towards encouraging caesarean? I am just trying to gather as much info as possible rather than waste time, I am very much looking for someone with a modern attitude towards the birthing process. Many thanks.

Dr. Josza was my ob last year, my girl is now 13months old. If number 2 comes along I would like him to be my OB again. Like one of the other posters mentioned, he changed from AH to Healthbay. He was really friendly, and pro natural birth and I never had the feeling he would push you to have a CS. I was lucky that I did not have any complications during delivery. My husband liked him as well, since he was not only focused on the baby or the mum-to-be. There are quite a few threads already on the forum on Dr. Josza, all positive. http://www.expatwoman.com/forum/messages.aspx?TopicID=92952 http://www.expatwoman.com/forum/messages.aspx?TopicID=120497

He delivered my DD 2 years ago with no problems whatsoever. A very nice chap indeed and an obvious caring professional who listens to you. He mentioned very early on in my pregnancy about c-sections and i told him i wanted to give birth naturally, he never mentioned it again & assured me i would be fine delivering naturally (unlike a few out here that can scare the living daylights out of you with there "It's a big baby" stories) I'll certainly be seeking him out with my next one :)

Yes, DD was breech and Dr Josza did my section. I really like him as a doctor and as a surgeon he was excellant. The anesthetist actually chatted with me about how great he thought he was in comparison to some other doctors, not sure if he was just making me feel better but have to say my scar is very faint and my recovery was really quick both of which I think dr josza's skill levels helped with. He is very calm, explains all your choices and then lets you decide without any pressure- which personally I like.

Hi - I had my 2nd baby with him last year, and i still go to him as my gynae. he is extremely pro natural birth but is equally supportive of a c section if a mother has issues with a normal delivery. having had a normal delivery with No 1, I was all set for a quick 2nd birth, but DS2 wasn't playing ball - he was breech and refused to turn (actually the placenta was in the way it turned out) so he did my c section. he is great though, wouldnt hesitate to recommend him. he is at health bay now and delivers at City.

Duddym, I have not delivered with dr. Jozsa, but have heard only good things about him. A friend asked him if it is ok if she will deliver the baby on 'all four' and he mentioned that she can even deliver standing on her head if she wants :) Happy delivery!

Hi Dr Josza delivered my son 3 years ago and I was really happy with him. I had a natural birth at American Hospital (where he was working at the time). The thing I liked most was that he let the midwives do their thing and he only intervened at the very end of the delivery when a ventouse (sp?) had to be used. He even stepped back to let the midwife deliver my son ultimately, which I really liked. But when he needed to intervene he was right there and very on the ball. I am not sure what his thoughts on natural v. c-section, as I never needed to have that discussion. My experience with him was very positive.
