so now after seeing my baby yesterday (anomaly scan) i am much more excited to finalize everything fast before i go back home for delievery. since this is my first baby please guide me what type of stroler should i go for and which brand? i saw few yesterday and got so confused. the ones which are multipurpose are much more helpful? car seat,stroller everything in one. please tell me the points i should keep in mind before buying one.

I think it's much better if you get the pushchair that has option of clipping on the car seat - it's much easier to move LO from/to car while they are sleeping. As JoannaS mentioned you need to consider weight, size and budget. Weight & size - travel systems tend to be bulky and heavy, so it's not easy to load/unload it from car + take up the space in the trunk. At first I've got Graco Quattro travel system and it was ok when I was just walking around the block with LO, but when I started travelling in the car I absolutely hated it as it was too heavy for me. Also consider how easy it's to fold the pushchair - saves valuable seconds if baby is screaming in the car (personally I would hate if I had to remove the seat, tires or other parts in order to fold the pushchair). Now we have Bebe confort Loola (the exact same model as Maxi-Cosi Loola) and I love it. The clip in system allows to change the seat from front facing to parent facing; to put carseat instead of pushchair seat and has an option for pram too (although I think that pram option is a luxury extra and not a must thing). It's umbrella fold and it's about 11kg.

We bought the bugaboo chameleon because the idea of clipping car seat onto frame appealed to us. Used it 6 months in the Pram mode and never used it afterwards as too bulky to load in and outthe car and it comesin 2 parts so just a hassle. We bought a bugaboo bee when DD was 6months and love it.It faces you till they are about a year and then you can turn it round so it faces outwards.It also can be used with the car seat clipped on top and is a 1 fold.

@angeldxb: thanks for the offer but i can't buy anything before the baby arrives, strictly told by my mom in law :) , so i am making my list at the moment when i have little energy. @beatles19: its a normal ultrasound carried for over 45 min to 1 hr. basically radiologist checks all the organs and you get to see baby's face too for the first time so do have your DH with you :) . this helps in dtermining few of the defects if any, and if the surgery is required right after delievery.all the best for you. i am in my 21 week.

very exciting! Think what is important for you - i.e. weight, size, travel system, etc. Since it is often we put the pram in the car here and I have a bad back - I opted for a light, easy to fold travel system. Being able to clip the car seat on the frame was also the point when making a decision. Bugaboo ticked all the boxes and I love it. Its shopping basket is not big, but I was not a priority. Mind you - we also bought a Maclaren as it is easy to travel with overseas. Happy shopping!
