Thank you cakes! I had my NT scan and blood test today. All was well with the scan so feeling better today:) DS risk was low ; hoping that blood test will confirm the scan result. Congrats to you too! And enjoy your second trimester. It's supposed to be the best:) P

Hello ladies, I'm also due in June 2012 and have my NT scan planned for next week. To those of you who had the 12 week scan, did you have your blood test on the same day or a few days before the scan ? Really looking forward to the second trimester so I can start exercising again! Hope everyone is doing well.

how are all the pregnant mummies doing? I'm 12+4 now and starting to feel a bit more human, had no sickness so far but constant headache and exhausted all the time. seeing my doctor today for 12 week scan so very excited and hopefully get a clearer idea from the NT scan results (singular umbilical artery and large bladder) have you decided where you want to give birth yet? I am with Dr Yamini at Welcare knowledge village and she delivers at the garhoud hospital. edited by cakes on 22/11/2011

Anon, have you decided where you'll deliver? I went to the clinic today and was informed to take my marriage certificate, my and DHs passports for the ob/gyn appointment when my file would be opened so I can get local cover for the pregnancy (package plus birth). Hi Amy! I am currently going to a private clinic. As soon as my DH goes to the Rashid Hospital to get the exemption for me, I will start going to the government clinic and inshallah I will deliver at Al Wasl in June!

Got a HPT postive. On 12 dpIUI, my beta hcg was 280. Haven't tested since then but hoping to test again this Friday. This is my second pregnancy, although I don't have a baby from my first one. Am worried more than excited. Also now suffereing from OHSS. Today is 29 days since my LMP. I think the only acronym I got in there was LMP! The rest ???!!! :\: All I saw was the 2nd line on all 5 sticks used. Sorry for being so cryptic. I got a postive pregnancy test after going throughan IUI cycle however, the hcg increase in my body created a condition where the ovaries are enlarged due to hyperstimulation. There is immense fluid inside my body now due to this. It can be a risky condition too, as this can lead to blood clots, hoemerrages etc. I was checking if anyone faced this ovarian hyperstimulation here? Seems like a rare condition; have not come across a single person in real life. Am exactly 5 weeks preg today. Havent shared the news even with the closest family yet due to all the issues. In addition, am experiencing mild cramps without bleeding. There is some watery discharge. I also feel like am passing blood and I rushed to washroom to check out but thankfully its just water. Very stressed and tensed. Want this thing to work very very badly.

I had a scan today. My baby is moving around quite a bit. The doctor says it's a boy based on Egyptian tradition, but I know that means nothing. :) I am having my scan next week. They said it is a boy based on previous one. :-) based on previous what?

Awww, I hope you get better soon. Yeah, some women have it much worse than others and some not at all. Sending hugs and positive vibes your way. Thanks! ;)

Oh you poor thing. I find ginger tea has been helping with mornng sickness. Hopefully you will be better once you get past the 12 weeks. Thanks. Nothing works for me... have tried ginger tea, ice chips, lemons, salty biscuits etc. I guess I am one of those very lucky women that suffer with morning sickness all day long :( . Everything irritates my senses right now. It eased off at around 14-15 weeks during my last pregnancy so I just have to wait it out. At the end of it all, I had a healthy little girl so thats something to look forward to :) Awww, I hope you get better soon. Yeah, some women have it much worse than others and some not at all. Congratulations ladies! Got my BFP last night, so I will be, unexpectedly, just after you, with an early July due date. Congratulations! Maybe you should start a July Due Dates thread. There is already one user who can join you.

I'm seeing Dr. Elsa at City. She delivered my first so I was able to get in to see her a bit earlier, she is excellent but hard to get an appointment for new patients.

Congrats Cakes and LJB, can I just ask where you went for your scans? Earliest appointment I can get is end of Nov which as I'm 7wks now means I'll be close to 12. Had hoped to have an early scan first :(

Don't panic and take it as it comes, we have two sets of twins, no family or outside help at all.......and so had four under three years old at the time......two born 7 weeks perm, two born 3 weeks perm....all at Al Wasl Hospital..... All teens now, and myself and husband are still sane and have four great happy healthy children. You just learn to cope, multi task even more than usual and are rewarded later in life for all you put in........ you'll be fine!......honest! edited by Solo on 01/11/2011

Had my first scan today and it's twins! Still quite nervous though as no hbs yet, apparently I ovulated a bit later in the cycle, going back in 10 days to see how things are progressing. It looks as though I'm closer to 5 wks then 6 which might put my dd at 01.07, though shall stick with you ladies for the moment ;-) congratulations, i was convinced i was having twins but only 1 in there :) good luck :)
