Just found out and let's see how this continues but I have to stay positive as being worried does not help.

This is my first positive test ever, so now I have no clue what to do. Should I continue seeing my IVF doctor, or should I start to search for another "normal" pregnancy doctor?

I understood from somewhere that the waiting lines to get an appointment to City Hospital or American Hospital is veeeery long, so should I start calling them already now although there is no rush at the moment?

Hi guys, Anyone with Fakih IVF? I wanted to know, when were you handed over to your regular gynecologist from Fakih?. I am 10 weeks pregnant through IVF from Fakih and have my NT scan in 2 weeks. I'm hoping they will hand me over after that. Nothings covered in my insurance at Fakih and the cost is increasing with every visit.

Quicksilver - do you mind me asking what IVF clinic you will be using and how did you manage to get insurance based on you having IVF. I am in similar position, 38 yrs old, no children and will be having IVF mid next year. I have looked into insurance companies and there are only 3 companies that will cover maternity insurance for IVF assisted pregnancies and none of them will cover complications as I have planned having IVF in advance so it is a very frustrating experience at the moment.

Congratulations Spinnaker! Keep calm and positive, laugh and relax, I'm hoping for a great outcome - I will be having my first round of IVF in January, I'm 42 and have never been pregnant. Baby dust to you....

Thank you Littlefox! You seem to understand my position, I think your guidance makes perfect sense. I will stay with the IFV doctor past the first months. It is risky for me at the moment so yes, I am not telling friends or anything to avoid cancelling the news. The luck is definately needed :-) edited by Spinnaker on 22/11/2013

You'll need to stay with your IVF doctor until 12 weeks. Keep taking any supplements eg progesterone and book an appointment with the doctor for a scan. Six weeks is normal for an IVF pregnancy unlike normal pregnancies. Don't stress out about waiting lines and stuff for hospitals now, just get through to 12 weeks, and worry about it then. Speaking from personal experience, there's not much worse than calling to cancel appointments. Your IVF clinic will help you with finding a hospital when you need it. Congratulations and good luck!
