I had this yesterday and today and am a bit scared and worried. Doesn't help that a friend of mine lost her baby at 9 weeks just a while ago :(

Called my doctor and she said as long as its not bright red it should be okay - has anyone else experienced this? Will it go away?

Am not able to concentrate at work and keep on visiting the loo every 10 minutes as am so worried!

Great news! Honestly, don't worry about going to the doctor even if you think it's something trivial. I'm pretty sure they understand how worrying a first pregnancy - or a difficult pregnancy - can be, and they're very sympathetic. So glad everything is OK for you!

thank you ladies, went home yesterday and spent most of the evening off my feet (save for the 20 minute loo-checks!). It seems to have eased up a little and when I checked this morning there was nothing! Thank you, God! edited by Ayda247 on 13/09/2011

I had some spotting @ 11 weeks. Feeding so typing quick. First preg so panicked. Went to emergency coz I hadn't started seeing my hospital doc yet. They did a scan and said all good and nothing to worry about unless it was bright red they did put me on progesterone supplements tho for 2 weeks since it was under the 12 week mark. If worried just go check to put ur mind at ease. But know it's prob nothing to worry about. Good luck. Stay well.

Praying all is well. I have been plagued with spotting during this pregnancy but all has been well so far. I suggest going to Doctor for peace of mind. They are very understanding xx

Thank you, ladies...I have just been up to the office prayer room for a half an hour kip as thought it best to get some rest during my lunch break! Will see how it goes until the end of the day and if it gets any worse will definitely go the doctor.. Oh dear..i hope all is well. Will hope for the best.

If you're worried, go get checked at the doctor. I doubt you'll rest otherwise. I had a tiny amount of spotting at five weeks with my first pregnancy and I was never out of the loo for the rest of the day! I think I also frightened another loo user when I saw it and practically shrieked out loud. This pregnancy I've had three bleeds and it's been OK every time, although I have been straight down to the doctor for a check-up and a quick scan. Fingers crossed for you but do go and reassure yourself with the doctor.
