Hi ladies, I am 33 weeks and due march 25th. It's my first baby and I am starting to get nervous! My mom will be flying in to help me. Any tips on when she needs to arrive by? I will be delivering at medcare and my doc is najaat hazimeh. My doc said she should be here by march 15th by the latest so 10 days before my due date.

All the best to you too srdoucet. Fingers crossed for you your waters don't break on the school run, eeeek! I've got the baby clothes washed and should probably get my bag packed. Booked to deliver at American hospital.

I'm still here and so is the little guy. But it's to the point that walking can't be done for too long. Bags by the door and all the baby clothes are washed. I have the fear of my water breaking on the school run. 36 week appointment is on Wednesday and still wondering if I will make it. Wish you all the best daza. Where has everyone decided to deliver?

Are you still holding in there srdoucet? I'm in the same boat at you, it feels like my baby is going to fall out! Not long to go now whatever happen. I'm sitting here thinking I'd better get the change table out and stocked with newborn nappies again. Yay!

Well I may be going down the same path as my last two. Baby seems to be dropping, hopefully turning the right way as well, lower back pain, uncomfortable and difficulty doing things and constant pressure below the belly.

This is my 3rd pregnancy and I also tested positive for B-strep. With the last two pregnancies I was induced because I went past my due date and so the Dr. thinks the same might happen with this 3rd baby girl. The antibiotic insulin during labor is not a big deal for those of you who are concerned. My little girl is super active all day long and of course just before going to bed. Hope everyone is doing well :)

I had a swab test done early at my 33 week appt since I've gone early in the past. Test came back positive for strep B. was put on three day antibiotic and will get an IV of penicillin during labor. 3 days til I hit 35 weeks. Hoping that this little guy stays in a little longer than that as I'm worried he's still breech and I really don't want a c-section. I'm finding it hard to tell if this one has dropped yet but my lower back is starting to get sore and I usually end up with back labor first. Sending you loads of good wishes and hopefully you should be able to bake ur bun a lil longer....even am worried stiff that no matter what atleast till week 35 I must carry on!

Due date brought forward from 18th March to 10th March: owing to how the baby's growth is and knowing that am on insulin...doc doesnt want to keep the baby baking long as placental deterioration is expected. Kind of freaking out now...so much to do and so lil time! Nursery just abt ready...still need to get more bedding stuff;need to buy breast pump, bottles....sheesh list if endless! not to forget work projects to be handed over....lil panic setting in!

Had my 33 week check up. Dr is hopeful that I will go to term but my other two were born at 35. I was told to try a few exercises to help turn the baby as he's still breech.

Thanks Daza, am good and back at work! though on self administered insulin and daily sugar monitoring. Had gone for monthly obgyn visit on wednesday wen doc saw the sugar weekly chart out of whack...high during fasting( 90-100) and low pp( 80-90)! She needed to put me on insulin and monitor response....immediately she admitted me...only to released once readings were stable. Once home reading spiked a bit so she increased the insulin dosage by a unit...but in constant touch with me via her team if she is busy! Now thats' the kind of care and concern that impresses me. As FTM biological mom, with bad BMI, elderly(37), infertility background, PCOS: I feel a lil vunerable but Dr.Luthra is real thorough and makes me confident with her diagnosis.

Medcare is my hospital as my ob gyn practices there...this weekend I was hospitalised after being diagnosed with GD needing insulin. Was there for 3 nights and was impressed with the care and concern. Nurses and docs on rounds were helpful and co-operative. My ob gyn was in constant touch with the team monitoring my progress as she was busy delivering. Oh no BT, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm glad you got well looked after and hope you are feeling better now.

Hi Ladies, I'm 31 weeks +, due date is the 2 march. I'm feeling good except have major SPD (pelvic pain) so hard to be on feet and stay active. I will either deliver at Al Garhound private hospital or Medcare by Safa - does anyone have experiences at either of these? I'll be touring them this weekend. EDF8, I had an awful experience at Medcare a few months ago and there is no way I'd set foot in their ob/gyn ward again. In saying that, you can have a bad experience anywhere so you need to get a feel for it yourself, good plan to be doing a tour. I think the main thing is that you are happy with your personal obstetrician, actually hospital comes second for me.

Hi ladies thought I'd check in and see how you are all doing with the chaos of Christmas. I'm hoping this kid holds on but I get the feeling he will be as early as his brothers which means five more weeks. Tummy is tight and this is the first pregnancy that the belly button has popped out. Can hardly fit any shoes now because my legs and feet look like sausages.

Hi srdoucet We're very similar, I'm nearly 30 weeks with my fourth baby who is boy #3. A few of my friends have had cords around baby's neck but it's worked out fine for all of them. I hope it's not causing you too much worry.

love my dr she just gave me the standard prick for diabetes test so no awful orange sugar drink to drink. Hated doing it the other two pregnancies. My dr is no longer with city hospital and delivers out of the new Al Garhoud Private hospital... fingers crossed they are good. I heard they have an NICU and that is my main concern since both boys were born at 35 weeks... one the water broke, the second my placenta ruptured. On baby aspirin to help prevent rupturing again. Almost 29 weeks now. Baby boy #3 is still in breach position but found out that the cord is loose around his neck. Fingers crossed it gets away from his neck.

Have to share my wonderful experience with Dr.Luthra...had read so much negative about her behaviour etc....but believe me I was bowled over by her yesterday. Even though we had to wait for an extra hour coz she had an emergency in the ward, the amount of details she put in our consultation was really appreciated. I am borderline Gestational diabetic, she has put me on a carb controlled diet with no meds or insulin for next 3 weeks....twice a week sugar at home monitoring and then will revisit to review the readings. I was a lil scared if I did any damamge to my baby....and that was wen she very kindly explained about why we need to be careful now, wat all measures I can take for a healthy baby and repeatedly told me not to stress as stress increases sugar. Consider myself to be lucky to have been diagnosed early to make lifestyle changes with out meds which are not always good for baby.... She not only did a doppler but a quick scan to show my baby was fine...just to put me at ease... whilst leaving she also mentioned...am sure u must have heard am very strict and abrupt...but brace yourself it's for your baby's benefit. As a FTM (biological) it was music to my ears to hear such positive comments and not be belittled at all....which was the feedback I heard abt doc.
