We take our 2 there regularly and it's fine - they love it! Eldest is 2 so I don't let him go off alone, unless it's into the toddler area as I wouldn't expect the staff to watch out for him to be honest. There was one time (at band camp..) where there were lots of older kids in the toddler section and I did tell a member of staff and he cleared them out, no problem. There is no stair gate at the bottom of one set of stairs but my son doesn't go near there so I'm not too worried (and I'm watching him). The worst he does is help himself to a Barney juice everytime he goes and comes back with an empty carton, knowing I can do nothing about it! Just FYI, I think the earlier posts about safety were done when it first opened and yes, there were a LOT of issues then (I went in the first week) but I think they have resolved most of them now & I'm happy to take my kids there as they really enjoy it (and I get to have a cuppa!)

Had DD's 3rd birthday there in September and it was really well organsied and all the kids had a great time. The kitchen door was locked (DD2 tried to get in there. :P) and there was a gate on the other side. Seemed pretty secure. DD1 loved it all, and i loved being up to let the kids have fun and not have to clean up. :) Tanya R - your right re: staff, i saw a guy there the other day trying to get bigger kids the hop off the roof in the baby section, and the kids literally ignore him and then another mum piped up and told them to get down and they did. No respect. I actually felt bad for the staff member.

Hmm so I can't remember exactly what the problems were (very vague recollection of gates not being secured, and not stair gates, and kids being able to gain access the kitchen). That being said, we take DS (21 months) there every weekend at a certain time (when it relatively quiet), he has DH with him the whole time running around (I am pregnant so I take the time to have a little rest!), and he absolutely loves it. I am not sure if they resolved the issues, but I 'think' the main issues where on the ground level, so it would depend on the ages of your children, clearly you can't watch 3 children at once, but if they are old enough to travel up together into the higher levels of the play area - you just have to make sure you have an eye on them when they come back down to the ground level so they don't wander into any danger areas or out onto the street looking for you. The staff don't really watch out for the kids at all, to be honest often I think they are too scared to tell kids off for bad behaviour because of the reaction from parents - I have often had to tell older kids off in the toddler area jumping off the roof of the little house and nearly jumping onto the poor little crawling kids below, which could clearly cause quite a bad injury. I have seen people ask the staff to stop it from happening, and they dont really get involved at all. Not sure if that helps at all .. the place is usually busy during the day, so I am sure others will have an opinion on how things are now.

I asked his question on their facebook page, and below is their response. I have been hearing about a lot of safety concerns within your establishment. Can you plz let me know what management is doing to try to make mini monsters a safer place for my little ones? Yesterday at 12:16am [b'>Mini Monsters [/b'>:We at mini monsters understand your concern and we can assure you that whilst no system is fail proof; we believe we have enough systems, policies and procedures in place to mitigate most, if not all concerns with regards to safety at our facility. i've never been on a monday but have heard its total manic so i will stay clear as my LO is no good in really loud noisy places - she'll just want me all the time which is not the reason I go there. The thread re Mini Monsters is on the General Dubai forum, near enough top of the list so just go in there, think its called "read this before going to MM again" .... or something like that!
