Mebo ointment from the pharmacy, it's made from sesame seed oil. edited by Apricot on 21/01/2012

I've used neals yard and its nice. Lots of nappies off and air will help. You can get metanium sent, I get it sent to Dubai and nz and it usually takes somewhere between a week to two weeks- my SIL recommended itmfor DD rash and I really like it. I also get burts bees sent for everyday use. Here's the link to Website in case your interested for the future. http://www.chemistdirect.co.uk/metanium-nappy-rash-ointment_1_3407.html edited by chance on 21/01/2012

I have been using Neals Yard Remedies Baby Barrier - there is a store in Dubai Mall, the cream has been amazing for us! Cleared up a rash & she's never had one since. It's not the cheapest but I think I'll buy it again. Also agree with PP, as much nappy free time as possible is also good. I try to give DD some time every day to kick around in the nude :)

I use an ecostore one from NZ but before I found that I had found one called bepanthen (or something similar) that was much better than sudocream. The only time DS ever had nappy rash pre-solids was when we used pampers disposables. They might like to change nappy brands, and use only water and cotton wool to wash rather than baby wipes. Also as much nappy off time as possible and avoid baby getting too hot.

DD had horrendous nappy rash from a week of formula in NICU and the only thing that helped when we got her home was Metanium. I don't think you can get it here but I have half a tube if you're desperate. Metanium is like tar and forms a great barrier over the rash but I also like the Seba Med one for healing.
