Hi all,
I need to go in for an NT scan in the next 2 weeks. Could you please recommend a place to do the same. The last time many years back i had gone to Medic in Bur Dubai, wonder if they still conduct this test. Could you please help me?

Each to their own but that's my view too globetrotter. Terminating the pregnancy wouldn't be an option for me but I would prefer the chance to be as emotionally and practically prepared before the birth as I could be. It's such a personal thing though, I've got friends who prefer to have no scans at all done.

I would recommend you go for the NT Scan. God forbid, but if anything were to go wrong, you should be well informed and well prepared to make decisions.

I've had three NT scans done at Fetal Medicine and have always been very happy with them. Dr Mirza is fantastic. You get a detailed report and a DVD to take home. http://www.my-baby.net/ Whilst you can get the detail in a regular scan the problem is that most obstetricians aren't specialists at reading and interpreting scans, the doctors at Fetal Medicine are so there is a greater degree or accuracy. They also have top of the range scanning equipment at Fetal Medicine which make it easier to get an accurate result.

My DR told me that there is no need to do this scan and waste all that money. A regular scan can pick up the same detail. My feelings that even if something wasnt normal,not much i could do about it except worry myself sick so opted not have them dome with either of my 2.

Medic still does those tests but the most recommended institutes and doctors therein are: Dr. Mirza at Fetal Medicine Center & Dr. George at n9ne Medical Center. Apart from the thorough screening, you are guaranteed a very high quality clear picture there;) i.e. if the baby cooperates:)

Hi there, I went to Dr. George at N9ne Medical in Healthcare City - he is lovely, very thorough and I would highly recommend him as would some of the other mums to be that I have spoken with :)
