But where can I find pregnancy tests for less than 60 AED? I live in the Marina, and I checked the closest pharmacy and saw three different brands of tests ranging between 45-60 dirhams. I'm only a day late but thinking it's good to get a test and check.

not yet, I've decided to wait a week, just to be sure my body's not just being a jerk getting my hopes up (that seems to happen from time to time) I'm crossing fingers though!

Weird! I was convinced I'd done the test wrong or it was faulty, that was how sure I was that there was no way I could be pregnant! Did you do a test yet? edited by DubaiCat on 20/09/2011

@DubaiCat the funny thing apparently is the cheaper tests (at least the ones in the U.S.) are often actually more accurate, they're more sensitive to the horomone in the wee! Last time i'd gotten a 4 dollar one from wal-mart and was only a day or two late and it came up positive, but ended up miscarrying after flying back to Dubai :(

The pharmacy at the Springs Town Centre has them for 10dhs. When mine came up positive I thought it was because I'd bought the cr4ppy one and it hadn't worked properly! I think it was one of the messy, wee-in-a-cup ones that you then use a dropper to drop the wee onto the test. A pain, but just as effective (as I found out).

that's very true. It's just hard not knowing as we've been trying for ages it seems. Are they the ones with a stick or the messy ones where you have to pee in a cup?

Life pharmacy in the big Almaya in Dream tower... 20 or 25aed if I remember rightly... not the Clear Blue ones, but the cheapie ones. Saying that, I'd wait a week. I know it's terrible not knowing, but in the grand scheme of things, what difference does a day make?
