did you already find a pediatrician for your upcoming babies?
where/how did you find them?

And to all the great moms out there,
who would you suggest?

am 32 weeks now and looking for a pediatrician. I'd appreciate any recommendations.

I second dr. Shola from Dubai London Clinic in Jumeirah. She goes the extra mile - doesnt make me paranoid and doesnt push meds. x I went to Dr Shola when my regular pediatrician was away. I was told by her when my daughter was 16 months old that she could be autistic and that when she was 18months old I would have to bring her in for the AED3500 test. I had taken my daughter in because she had a high fever and was vomitting. My daughter is nearly 3 now and is in no way autistic. If she had been my first child I would have been devistated but since she wasn't I knew that what this doctor was saying was absolute bull.

Dr Zakieh at Dr Sulaiman Al-Habib Medical Group next to City Hospital. I like that she treats 'the whole family' as she puts it.. As a first time mom I had a lot of (overly paranoid) concerns. She was terrific. She allows her motherhood and womanhood to make the difference with her patients. I also saw Dr Rita at Cooper (who has a great reputation as well) before deciding on Dr Z. Was just a personal preference.

We saw Dr Gupta today and were very impressed. Friendly, great with DS and a nice guy to boot. I was planning to just keep going to Dr Hamzeh but as Dr Gupta is so much closer, I think he wins :D.

I find Dr Anil Gupta (Ranches and Meadows Clinic) very professional. Also second Dr Rifat Hamzeh. Guess you also have to consider your location and what's in your insurance network. Btw I got a health card for LO, only 100aed per year, vaccinations free at government clinic. Also went to Al Wasl emergency at 4am once, with health card was absolutely free!

Dr Ahmed Syed at City Hospital, wonderful staff and such a lovely man! Was so worried about finding a good pediatrician after moving here with my 4 month old but he put my worries to rest right away!

Dr Shola, Dubai London Clinic Jumeria - excellent listener - both to parents AND kids. Great manner and went out of her way to make sure she was personally available when our daughter was very sick and had been admitted to hospital - and I'm talking after midnight!

It didn't occur to me to find a paediatrician until after DS arrived! We use Dr Hamzeh at the Meadows Clinic and really like him. He's like a big friendly bear and wonderful with DS.

I have been to dr.khan in Cooper clinic, I really like him, he always made me feel good and his advice has always worked for my DS. There is a new ped in Cooper I forgot her name, she was good too. I would suggest u get an appointment in Cooper clinic, they have 3 peds. I have changed so many clinics so I finally am going to dr.khan. The ped in Arabian ranches clinic is also wonderful. If you live there, don't miss him.
