Yes I'd like a copy of the report, it would help if I'd like to consult in my home country for a second opinion, and since I paid for it I should have it, I suppose. Ibakari if you dont mind may I ask where and with whom you are consulting? I'm seeing a doctor at the Aster Gardens Medical Centre.

Hiya Redrec I had complete placenta previa with my last child (complete with hemorraing, emergency c section, etc) so of course, that was my biggest concern with the current pregnancy. around 15 weeks they can know if its low lying - which may mean nothing - and then by 20 weeks they can tell you more about its position, But again, it Can change. Side note: having low placenta, or a previous placenta previa DOESN'T MEAN that you are more likely to have it again. My current pregnancy is perfectly normal with placenta way up high. yeah! and l'm planning to have natural birth .. hope the best for you and this pregnancy.

Most docs are happy to give u a copy of the reports if you ask. Also, Placenta Previa may not always be diagnosed as early as 12 weeks. In my NT test the doc said that my placenta is lying low and it MAY result in PP, but there are just as many chances of it going back into place as the uterus and baby grow. Which is exactly what happened in my case. I think its best to ask your doc around 20 weeks about it.

1. If you want those reports, you can ask doctor, but is there any need for them now? If you are to change the docs, then you can ask for complete history in one go. 3. check with OB for their opinion + if you do get flu shot, it doesn't mean you are not going to get flu, it just means that you will go through flu in lighter form.

redrec.... if you want copies of your lab work and ultrasound reports then ask your doctor, there shouldn't be any reason why you shouldn't be given a copy, maybe it's just your hospital/clinics practise not to bother giving out copies of results, (what are you going to do with them/can you interpret them anyway?) the placenta can move away from the cervix as it grows so I don't think the OB would be worried unless it was still at the front and low down in the third trimester, ask for reassurance. yes, if there was a swine flu outbreak here then I would get the flu shot - I would again check with your OB for their opinion. good luck with your pregnancy!

I'm currently getting copies of all the test results after my visits to the doctor. I guess it varies from doctor to doctor.

For both of my pregnancies here, I never received any reports for any tests/blood work I had done. In fact the OB never really discussed the results in depth if they were normal. Both OBs I saw though made sure to contact me immediately if I had any abnormal results or if I needed follow up.
