Hi Ladies,
To save me ringing a dozen nurseries/daycare facilities, perhaps one of u knowledgeable women can advise....
I am at home full time with my LO but would really like a safe suitable place where I could bring my baby to be looked after when I am stuck or maybe have visitors in town. Do any of you do this? BTW, Im living in the Greens but have a car so provided it wasn't too out of the way I could drive. xxxx

Thanks, I went out to Children's Oasis on the Palm recently and while it's fine, there are definate downsides. It's a converted apartment in one of the Shoreline buildings, no outdoor play and no seperate sleep area. The lady running it seemed nice tho' and I guess they don't have to meet all the usual criteria of they are a drop in nursery. xx

Hi there :) I was looking for exactly the same - flexible childcare where I don't have to commit to paying for the whole week/term etc. I came across "Kidstown". It's in Al Barsha - just next to Mall of the Emirates. It's quite small, but it's never very busy as it's new and not many people know about it yet. It has good enough facilities for a toddler/preschooler to be happy - they have toys, books, slides, tv area etc. Staff are friendly and seem to be able to speak good English. You can provide meals/snacks for the day if you want & they can heat it up if required. They also have a sleep area. Only negatives - no outside play area and if your little one is toilet trained - they need to use the toilets in the main building... obviously accompanied. Their number is 04 3929899 - speak to Mae. Good luck! x edited by maryam_kk on 26/10/2011

Children's Oasis on the Palm offers this, although I am not sure what age they start from.
