Last time i was back DD was 5 weeks i cleaned up in Sainsburys! Jan sales were still on so got the nice sleepsuit 3 packs for a fiver (the designed ones, not plain) 2 pairs of PJ's 2.50 for both, 5 pairs of socks for 99p a lovely red and pink zipper cardie for 2 quid, loads of toiletries, wipes (17p a pack for Sainsburys basic, which are lovely). I just got all sizes up to the next time i knew id be back (9 months) and got whatever was cheap and have put it away and just get it out as and when. I made everyone carry back at least 4 packs of wipes in their cases and hand luggage! Dont know where you are, but we have a Next outlet near us at home, so get everything from 'last season' for 2-5 pound an outfit. I got nuts when i go home!

hoover up anything and everything going from Tescos, Asda and Sainsbury's! The supermarkets actually have really nice children's clothes, from basics to outfits, shoes and swimsuits, all at a fraction of the price of High Street Shops. I also stocked up on cheapie wet wipes for the table, sun cream (special offer), and even the shampoo and stuff if you have space. Definitely sugar-free Calpol (or whatever you use), teething gel, teething powder, children's plasters... sunhats... everything.

Asda and Sainsbury's both have really good value packs of vests and sleepsuits. I do like the Next sleepsuits but Asda and Sainsbury's are three for a fiver, whereas Next is three for 17 quid!

Vests, sleepsuits, sleeping bags, shorts, t-shirts, nappies if you have room (Asda had two big boxes for twenty quid last time I was home)... uh, everything?! :D edited by DubaiCat on 17/04/2011 DC, where do you buy vests and sleepsuits normally? I'm in UK atm and don't really find something nice in Next or Primark. I always used to buy the plain white cotton vests and body suits from M&S, or John Lewis. Sleepsuits from M&S. Next and Gap do really cute baby/toddler little outfits.

Oh, and if you have room and weight allowance, wipes. When Sainsbury's and Tesco have their third off baby stuff offers, they're great value.
