Hi, since my baby started crawling I seem to spend all my time following her around trying to stop her trapping her fingers. Where can I get some of those things that clip on to drawers and doors to stop them shutting fully?
TIA

If it's specifically fingers and doors or drawers you're worried about, a quick easy way is to slice vertically into a section of "pool noodle" and slide it over the door/drawer. it quickly stops the drawer closing fully and can be removed in an instant with no damage :)

Hi, my friend used Rentacrib, the British run company. I think they have been around for over 10 years and seem to know what they are doing. They fitted a customized gate and safety edges in my friends house recently.

Does the use have uk sockets like Qatar? If so, the official word is NOT to put covers on them, basically there is a built in safety which closes off the two live holes when not in use, a cover actually gives children a tool which is capable of disarming this safety making the points more, rather than less, dangerous. I bought the foam door guards from daiso, the other major baby proofing I did was to push the couch against the wall and out rugs under it and in front of the tv cabinet as my wee guy was a climber. edited by kiwispiers on 27/03/2013

as meagle suggested b-safe is the best place and they have variety too but a little expensive. i bought corner guards, table guards, door stopper from ikea. electrical socket covers from C4 (just saw them by mistake :) ), drawer locks and cabinet locks from b-safe. I am still on the lookout for oven knobs which were big in b-safe :(

I know there is a new baby safety store at Times Square called B Safe. Haven't been yet, but would be the first place I'd check for a full variety of safety items. IKEA did have some safety equipment like covers for outlets when I was there last.
