Or a hairdresser that uses dye which is safe during pregnancy? No highlights, just a full head colour!

My current hairdresser has no idea whether the dye they use is safe...and the assistant in Boots looked at me like this :\:

TIA

Ladies I hate to alarm you but based on my extensive research the most dangerous chemical in hair dye is PPD (there have a been a few cases of severe allargic reactions and even death I believe recently) and again based on my research INOA has a much higher content of PPD than other hair colors. I can't tell you 100% as I couldn't find an ingredients list but please do more thorough research before using it. I found some interesting info on a US website that I can't recall now, will try to post later. However it mentioned some of the better ones are Aveda (which I don't think is available here) and Aubrey Organics. Aubrey has no chemicals, but this also means the coverage will probably not be that great (that's what PPD takes care of normally). I believe they're both available on amazon.co.uk, I am debating what to use myself, so I will come back and post more info if I find something good. Another thing, if you see something called 'natural' don't assume it is, it may still have PPD, see if you can find ingredients lists.

Ooh thanks ladies, will attempt an at home job if I find the right dye otherwise will go to the hairdresser! Will see if the shops stock INOA!

My hairdresser said stay away from bleach tint ones and do it in a well ventilated area. Apparently it isnt harmful as not enough is absorbed through the scalp to harm the baby but try not to eat it :-0
