Top model Naomi Campbell, 50, announced the arrival of her first child!
The big reveal came on Tuesday when Campbell posted an Instagram photo cradling a baby's feet in her hands.
"A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother," the caption read, confirming that the fashion icon expanded her family.
"So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel. There is no greater love," she finished off.
The supermodel hadn't previously revealed that she was expecting a child, prompting waves of surprise and support from her friends and peers from the fashion industry on the huge announcement.
Designer Marc Jacobs was among Campbell's friends who poured in to the comments section to congratulate her: "Oh my God!!!!! Today is the day?? How absolutely incredible. How lucky she is and how lucky you are! What a wonderful Mother you will be. Blessings all around."
"Omg!! Congrats mama. Love you!" wrote actress Ryan Destiny, who played Campbell's fictional daughter in the American TV drama 'Star'.
Italian fashion designer Donatella Versace commented: "Naomi, today I go from being sista to auntie!! I am so so so happy for you and I can’t WAIT to meet her!! Lots and lots of love, Donatella and Allegra."
While the baby announcement was a lovely surprise for many, longtime fans of the London-born model might recall that Campbell has had her mind on having kinds for quite a while.
Last year in an interview with the Evening Standard, Campbell mentioned her desire to become a mother when she felt that the time was right, either through adoption or other methods.
"I think about having children all the time," she said openly. "But now with the way science is, I think I can do it when I want."
At the time of publishing, Campbell hasn't revealed any further information about her new daughter.
