The Emirates Literature Foundation has announced that their popular competitions for schools are now open for 2022, celebrating champion readers, story tellers, poetry performance and the craft of fine handwriting.
Young writers with beautiful penmanship are invited to participate in the Royal Grammar School (RGS) Guildford Dubai Children’s Letter Writing Competition, as part of ELF's writing competitions this year.
Schools can also compete against each other in the Emirates Readers' Cup to show who comes top with their knowledge and understanding of selected books, while budding young authors can show off their writing skills by entering the Story Writing Competition
"It is wonderful to announce that our schools’ competitions are back, bigger and brighter than ever," said Ahlam Bolooki, festival director of the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature.
"These competitions are hugely popular because they are creative and make learning fun. The enjoyment gained in taking part paves the way for a life-long appreciation of books, poetry and composition, in addition to reinforcing skills that will enhance students’ learning right across the curriculum."

The finals and award ceremonies for the competitions will be held during the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, 3-12 February 2022.
Participants can register online for all the above writing competitions at the Emirates Literature Foundation's website.
