Dubai Ranks as the Best City Worldwide for Family Vacations

While family vacations to far-flung destinations will always have their appeal, a Dubai staycation can offer just as much beauty, adventure and luxury.
In fact, Dubai has been named the world's best travel destination in 2022 for family holidays, according to a new study by travel site InsureMyTrip.
Out of the 62 cities analysed in the report, Dubai ranked highly in five out of the seven total categories.
The study states: "Dubai is fast becoming a family-friendly wonderland, offering access to a variety of theme parks."
"It’s deemed one of the safest cities in the world and is becoming a more affordable destination for families, offering all-inclusive resorts with an array of activities," it added.
InsureMyTrip also highlighted the fact that Dubai has a number of beaches recognised by The Blue Flag Scheme, which contribute to its suitability as a family destination.
Earlier this year, Dubai also ranked as the Best Global Destination on TripAdvisor's Traveller's Choice Awards, based on the city's strategic opening during the Covid-19 pandemic while remaining as a safe place for travel.
"As Covid-19 restrictions begin to relax and more families decide to vacation again, it is especially important they feel safe. InsureMyTrip hopes the results of this study will help these families feel confident and secure in their decision to travel the world and make new and lasting memories," said Sarah Webber, director of marketing at the travel site.
Top 10 family-friendly holiday destinations
Here are InsureMyTrip's top 10 list of the most family-friendly places for vacations in 2022, with scores out of 10:

- Colombo, Sri Lanka
- Turks & Caicos
- Barbados
- Corfu, Greece
- Faro, Portugal
- Phuket, Thailand
- Auckland, New Zealand
- Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- Havana, Cuba
Miami, USA was ranked as the least favourable city for family vacations, achieving lower scores in area safety, family attractions, quality of family hotels, etc.
Cancun, Mexico came in as the second-least suitable destination for family holidays, with Gijon, Spain ranking third-least.
