Review: A Face Oil That Works Wonders
A staff member tried Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil and we're all pleased with the result.
20 June 2017

I have normal to combination skin and I prefer a dewy, natural look so I'm going to admit that I was, in fact, a bit hesitant to try the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil in the mornings. This is because the make-up I already use gives me that ‘glow’ without having to wear oil-rich products. However, I gave it a shot anyway as I immediately fell in love with the cute bottle with dropper and the faint floral smell. I knew then that this oil was going to be hard to resist!
For the most part, my skin is unproblematic. That being said, I had some sunspots I wanted to treat and I wanted my skin to look fresher and firmer, because who doesn't? I read that Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil would help in just that so I made my mind up to use it for a month.
Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil packaging
My Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil routine was simple - in the morning, prior to applying my makeup, and in the evening, after cleansing my face.
You could easily have it on during the day without looking like a greasy mess but the SPF I use is of a thicker/oilier consistency, so I prefer using the oil at night. If you apply a lighter SPF, the Skin Therapy Oil would be great to achieve a dewy look without looking greasy. It is also probably great for people with patchy or dry areas on their face as this oil applies lightly and provides ample moisturization without being too overbearing.
I love that it has the drop applicator, making it super easy to use. At night, after cleansing my face with a charcoal scrub, I pat my face dry and apply two drops of the oil on each side of my face and gently rub it in. My skin quickly absorbs the oil and I don’t have to worry about it staining my pillows.
Application of Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil
The oil has quickly grown on me, and it doesn't take more than 5 minutes of your time each day. On weekends, you can also pamper yourself by giving your face a nice massage using just the oil and your fingers. I like to leave this oil on as long as possible on my skin, and it has actually given me the confidence to step outside without any makeup on and let people compliment me on my dewy, supple skin.
Consistency is key with any product, and the Skin Therapy Oil is no different.
At the end of week two, my skin definitely looks fresher in the morning and overall dryness has decreased.
At the end of week three, I notice that my sunspots are disappearing.
By the fourth week, my skin feels firmer, more hydrated and exudes a natural glow.
All in all, I believe this is a great product for someone who's not very fussy about their skincare routine as it's a 1 step process that yields multiple results. I would continue to use this to see how much better my skin will get, as my preliminary results are quite great!
I would definitely recommend this product!
