Plus, little passengers get to stamp their own passports!

Travelling with the family through Dubai International Airport (DXB)?

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) has opened new passport desks dedicated just for children between four to 12 years old, at the arrivals of Terminal 3.

Children can zip through exclusive passport control at arrivals, and also have the experience of stamping their own passport.

During special occasions, families may also spot mascots Salem and Salama welcoming and greeting little ones.

Who can use Smart Games at Dubai International Airport?

Select passengers arriving at Dubai International Airport can speed through passport control using the convenient Smart Gates system.

To use the Smart Gates, you must have a valid Emirates ID card and passport, or a visa on arrival and a biometric passport. Simply scan your passport and whizz through immigration in just a few minutes.

However, families with children, passengers under 15 years old, travellers below 120cm height, people of determination, and travellers with large strollers cannot use DXB airport's Smart Gates. If you fall under any of these categories, you must head to the check-in counters. Kids can also pass through the new children's passport control lane.
