Ladies,

I am moving to AD with my husband shortly. Company has offered us a 4 bedroom apartment in Bayview which is adjacent to the AD Mall.

Any thoughts on this building/location? We are a professional childless couple.

Thanks, MG

For a 300 000dhs allowance you can get a fair few places as prices are coming down now. For that price you can get a nice 3 bedroom place on the corniche that has a pool, gym and car parking. Try and grab an AbuDhabi Week Magazine and have a look in the back (are you already here in the UAE?) othewise check out some of the bigger realestate agents like LLJ Properties websites etc. HTH.

Okay thanks. Our allowance is around AED300 plus club membership (ie. if the facilities are not included the company will pay additional so that we can use them). We need to be on the main island and we need 2 car spaces. Any suggestions for other buildings we should look at welcome.

I wouldn't necessarily say no to it bout I would be going back to the employer asking if there are other options available....

Thanks for your opinions. We have parking so that won't be an issue but I will make sure that the actual apartment itself is properly soundproofed when we check it out. Happy to be somewhere busy as long as it is not noisy inside the apartment!

On a positive note...........i live around this area, yes it is busy but i believe you do get used to it and it doesnt even bother me AT ALL, it doesnt keep me awake at night and early evening time you dont even notice it. I love the location, close to everything or a short walk/drive to anywhere! I love the city life, the hussle and bustle adds to the atmosphere of Abu Dhabi. I have lived in various different location in abu dhabi, khalifa street, al raha gardens, muroor with 23rd street and now TCA and i truely believe this is the best of them all!!! I would say one thing, PARKING? Do you have underground parking, this area is a nightmare otherwise...........a huge consideration if you havent got underground and the chance to move buildings, YES its that bad!!! Goodluck with your move, if you need anymore info let me know, can try and help It is all personal preference though isnt it...............!!!!! HTH

Thanks, MG its very busy. loads of traffic because of the roadworks, and all construction going on behind on sowhah island which is not going away for a couple of years yet.
