I had most success with Facebook groups, although I have to say that don't expect to get much back of the original cost.

There are masses of Buy Sell Swap, Trading Post Dxb, Second hand etc etc groups - some are closed, some are public.. I don't think it makes any difference, you wouldn't give out your address on the group. Also loads of community groups that allow selling your own items plus women's or mums groups.

I see there is another very similar site on Facebook with a similar name that is not "Closed". May give it a try. I think things could get buried on it though!

I sold mine through Dubizzle. It was pretty successful I would say (though to be honest, I really wanted to get rid of them fast, so I priced them very very reasonable ).;)

Just had a look at "Buy it, Sell it , Swap it Dubai" on Facebook and it is a Closed Group. Does that mean one cannot use it? Nothing comes up on it to even see items for sale - seems to limit its purpose if not everyone/anyone can see things for sale? You'll probably have to ask to join

It depends on prices. People who buy are looking for bargains generally and will not pay top prices

Has anyone sold second hand furniture successfully? What is the best way to do this? Do thing sell on the free classified section for ExpatWoman? Thanks Many people use the FB site "Buy, sell and swap" I have seen expensive furniture sold on there ( Not over the top prices though)
