For the last week I have been getting calls and messages from someone in Iran. So far I have ignored them but I think I would like to get them blocked. I have an Iphone and use Etisalat...Is there a way of blocking this number from the phone or do I need to call Etisalat and get them to block it?
MTIA

PS the first contact I had was a text message saying...hi my name is blah blah I want to be friends what sity are you from? that was on the 9th Jan and since then I get a call every day :-(

Call the police. They will give you a number that deals with this sort of thing. Very effective. It just takes one call and it's sorted.

Just send them a text saying you have passed their number on to the Iranian embassy in Dubai.. that should put a stop to it. ETA to say send not sent! edited by Genie on 17/01/2011 Wicked mind Genie. I like that ;) I agree with texting the Iranian Embassy and the local authorities. I always do this with nuisance calls or texts .. I change the authority depending on where it is from.. I usually text them to say I have reported the number to the police or whoever .. works like a charm ;) PS with soem of those from Nigeria, Pakistan etc I even say I have reported them to Interpol! edited by Genie on 17/01/2011

I just get DH to spk to whom ever it may be and it never happens again from that person... they have slowly stopped occurring, but when I first bought the SIM it was quite often.. v strange. Embassy idea is classic!
