Where do you buy Bare Escentuals? I use the Elizabeth Arden Mineral Tinted Moisturiser which has a little bit of sparkle and is very light and has SPF too. On the hunt for an Elizabeth Arden stockist at the moment though so may need to change.

MAC! I have used clinique, giorgio armani, loreal, rimmel, christian dior, always came back to mac. I use Studio fix powder. Select SPF for liquid (its less heavy). I already have oily skin, so "glowy" make up just make me look like an oil slick... but if u like they have their mineralize liquid foundation. And they have mineralize powder i think.

My favorite is Chanel Teint Innocence (Naturally Luminous Compact). Can't really decide whether it is a foundation or a concealer, but it seems to serve its purpose. [i'>ETA [/i'> That romance was short-lived. Pleasant to use, but somehow not as complimentary or becoming as my longtime favorite, Guerlain Parure Gold. So back to that. Wanted to try out Bare Escentuals, but seem to be unable to find them anywhere in Dubai. Did someone buy them here? My hopes were up for skipping the powder phase, but oh well. On second thought, it is kind of fun to play with the brushes anyway... edited by jophiel on 12/04/2011

Undecided between Chanel Vitalumiere and Bare Escentuals Chanel V everytime, hands down. I'll go and try that this afternoon, I think. What fun, the only time I've done this before was for my wedding :)

Really? make you up dont have to remove?! sign me up! have seen the mineral make up around. No idea who to apply it but might give it a go once by Bobbi Brown is finished (just brought it too, doh!) Wellllll I think one [i'>should[/i'> remove make-up, but with this stuff, it's unnecessary [apparently'>. I try to [gulp'> but if I forget, it doesn't matter. :) PS. Only Sephora sell it right now and DO go and get a trial run before you buy. Also, it is way WAY cheaper to buy it overseas than here. I was stunned to learn how expensive it was in Dubai but at least I only bought the starter kit at first. And now, I buy the rest online and have it shop'n'shipped. Because it's powder [not liquid'> there's no problem getting it through Customs. ;) Thanks for the advice, I went there today and tried the whole works, including primer. My chin was peeling already when I left Sephora, so I'm afraid that powder foundation, even with primer, is not for me, although the rest of my face looks OK and hasn't dripped off. Not sure if it's worth AED390 for the starter pack? I nearly shouted "who hasn't weighed their cabbage" at one point, as there were a couple of other ladies showing a distinct interest in the Bare Minerals range whilst I was being made up and I'm sure at least one was an EW. She had that look, dontcha know :D

Bare Escentuals mineral makeup I guess I'm the only one not loving this. I have the kit with 3 powders ( no liquads) and I feel like it brings out every crevase on my face! maybe i should try to add the liquad to it? I'll have to check out makeupalley also Do you put their primer (good reviews online) on before the foundation. I don't use their primer but my sis does and doesn't get any creases. HTH

. edited by WaxMuch on 22/03/2011 [color=#0000CC'>Can I ask if mineral powders make your skin look at all dull or dryor too matt? I never use powder as I find even the superfine ones with added ingredients to make your skin glow just make my complexion look too matt or dull (compared with just using foundation alone). I have heard a lot about mineral make up but the fact that it is powder puts me off. I think it depends on both one's age AND where one applies the powder. Me? Frankly, I'm approaching my mid-40s, so applying the powder too heavily around the eye area can make the very fine lines I have there more ... prominent. ;) But that's just me. And I think on a younger person, this would not be a problem. I certainly wouldn't discontinue using the powders because of just one little issue though, and with practice, it is just so easy and quick to apply, looks very natural [and most 'un'-powdery!'> and not dull at all. As Diamante pointed out below, removing the make-up isn't necessary either. There are -- I'm going to sound like an advertisement here!! -- [i'>allegedly[/i'> all sorts of good things in the Bare Minerals which actually improve your skin, and I would agree with that. And I really can't stress enough just how fantastic the coverage is; blemishes, freckles, redness, you name it, all disappear, leaving a really beautiful light look. That's the other thing: this stuff just feels so light, like you're not wearing a foundation at all. And I love that! :)[/color'>Many thanks WM - I think I will give it a try after reading that- especially as one of my biggest 'sins' is not taking make up off (blush) I think I might do as Diamante suggests and have a makeover done at Sephora edited by Genie on 22/03/2011

Bare Escentuals mineral makeup Ditto. Adore it. Used to use Chanel Vitalumiere but switched to Bare Escentuals last year, and it's proven a fantastic coverage in the Dubai humidity. Even when it feels like you're dripping like mad [!!'> the make-up stays perfect; it glows. I would advise going for the whole kit though; the base gel, then the powders and then the bare minerals 'top coat'. Makes for a longer-lasting look. ETA: The gel to use before applying the powders is called Prime Time, and the 'Illuminating Veil' is what I use to finish off. Looks gorgeous, a tiny bit sparkly, but not like you're about to hit a dance floor. :D . edited by WaxMuch on 22/03/2011 Can I ask if mineral powders make your skin look at all dull or dryor too matt?
