So DH off on a business trip and my girls (sister plus 3 awesome friends) are visiting sans hubbies and children. I really want to show them a good time. We are planning to shop (ofcourse) and do a nice dinner and a spa day.

Please give me your suggestions on

1. Spa Day (where and how much)
2. Swimming with the Dolphins at Atlantis (do I need to make a booking? Is it worth it?)
3. A night of dancing (where? I am a little out of touch on the going out scene with DD just having turned a year old)
4. Any experience that is super cool that you would recommend. Because its only 3 days, we dont want to get out of the city and waste time getting to places.

Thanks for your help!

- Lunch at 101 at the One and Only on the Palm - ring the One and Only on the mainland to book the free boat to take you there... I love love love this place! Also... - Lunch at Naisimi at Atlantis - Cocktails at 360 to watch the sunset and take advantag of happy hour! 4 - 7pm I think? - Drinks on top of the Jumeirah Beach Hotel Have a great time!

Entertainer book sound great! Any idea where I can get one? I have to plan plan plan because otherwise we all start chatting and the day is over before we realize it. Definitely get teh entertainer - you'll save so much. they are sold in most stores like Spinneys, Choitrums, Carrefour, Geant, Magrudys, Books plus, Borders etc

It might even work out cheaper to book a few rooms at Atlantis as they have some special offers on which include swimming with the dolphins. You would then be able to chill out at the pool, on the beach, at Aquaventure, etc etc..... worth checking out. Definitely book a lovely afternoon tea all together - either Burj Al Arab in the Sky View Bar and do the latest booking so you are still there for sunset. Or....the One and Only afternoon tea is super and much cheaper than BAA. Burj Khalifa - again do around 5 and then you will be at the top for the start of the fountains too. Dinner at rivington Grill/Mango Tree/meat company. Evening at the Buddah Bar is always great. If they are here for a Friday do the Al Qasr brunch or the Bubbalicious brunch at the Westin - always fantastic. dinner on the Palm one evening - West 14th is one of my favourite places at the moment. Cocktails at Shimmers are Mina A Salaam is lovely Dinner at Teatro is also really good (vouchers in entertainer) When my girlfriends came over we put champagne in the fridge and booked some treatments and mani and pedis at home for their first evening as they were tired from the travelling - it was so much fun. Cocktails and dinner at Atmosphere highest restaurant Oooooh so much to cram in - you can book a morning desert safari with camel rides I think we used Desert Rangers for this - it was lovely as it was just our group and was much nicer than being at a big busy camp.

I think you can still get the Entertainer book in Spinneys and the large book shop in the Dubai Mall. Could I suggest you and the girls go for afternoon tea somewhere posh? We went to the Madinat and it was brilliant - you could easily share one tea for two people, so it won't turn out that expensive! That way you can chat and enjoy the surroundings!

My friends did the swimming with the Dolphins and really liked it. You have to book it, it's almost 900 dirhams per person. But I agree with Chocs01, we've also with the same friends to Musundam and saw the Dolphins there, and I appreciated much more the second. We did also the desert safari, it was very nice. You can use the entertainer voucher for that. There is also burj khalifa, the best time is sunset but you have to book very early. Dinner near Dubai Fountain, but I don't like the restaurants there. Visit of the spice souk Dinner at madinat jumeirah with a view of Burj el Arab Tea at Burj el Arab

KC- bet you are so excited :) Get the entertainer body book for spas. OR I booked a spa day through dreamdays.ae at the atlantis- full use of beach, jacuzzi, sauna and great buffet lunch. 1000dhs for 2. Before you book it just give the spa a call first to check they have the day/times available that you want. Swimming with the dolphins is AMAZING- think there are vouchers in the family entertainer book, you can also use the waterpark before/after. have fun :)

Check Time Out for all the best deals. Defo try and do a desert safari as it's a great experience. Please don't do the dolphins at Atlantis, dolphins should not be kept in captivity. If you want to see them, go on a day trip to the Musandam for a dhow trip and see them in the wild.
